this is the laziest sushi place to go. let alone the quality of fish is mid its not even that great but its good enough to enjoy. i ordered on uber eats like 4 times the same chicken and beef bento but because i mention im allergic to shrimp and to remove the shrimp from the bento they cancel my order every time. its such a nuisance to deal with because i wont be notified that they wont make it and instead ill get the 2 piece nigiri delievered to me with no bento. that is just insane. and to the owner i tried to call so i could tell you directly how i felt about this unprofessional way of handling things but your employee stated your never there so heres the review for the world to see. i have done this same order when i walked in to the place many times chicken beef bento no shrimp never had a problem in my life but for some reason when i do that on uber you handle the problem as if its foreign to a food business. its workers that cant handle substitions that make loyal customers just go to other places. if anyone reading this wants my reccomendations go to aloha sushi genki or any other sushi place in town they are up to date in 2024 and know how to handle substitutions with no excuses...
Read moreI called to place a to go order. Young girl took my order and after I repeated it she told me it would take 20 minutes. I live close by so I went to pat for the order and wait as I don't like sushi that has been sitting around. Young girl working at the counter took my card for payment and asked if I wanted the receipt. I don't normally, but maybe I should have. Got to my friend's house and discovered her meal Poke Salad was missing. I called and asked the girl about it and all she could say was, "Did you want to order it now?" I told her yes because my friend doesn't have her meal. All she has is her sides. I placed the order and each time I order she puts me on hold to tell someone. She comes back on the phone, "We don't have that dish." "What? Is that why I wasn't given it?" She said yes. WTHeck?! Seriously?! I asked her, "It didn't cross your mind to tell me so I could order something else?" She got quiet and then said, "So do you want to order something?" Wow. Even Alexa or Siri has better manners. Doordash estimate was 30-40 minutes, but my confirmation receipt said 1 hour and 40 minutes. I wanted to confirm this wasn't a mistake so i tried to call them. After multiple tries, they didn't pickup. Living within a quarter mile, I walked to the restaurant to confirm the information was accurate, which it was. Not sure why they would advertise that pickup times were 30 minutes, when in reality, it was an hour longer.
So, this rating isn't solely based this experience. I have had their food once before. It's a mediocre, middle-of-the- road restaurant. If your craving sushi, but desire a step up from 7-11, then this place will hit the spot at a reasonable price. But if the price I pay is this level of aggravation to purchase dinner, then I'm not going back.
