I heard about this place from YouTuber Migrationology - Mark Weins. One tip. You HAVE to eat it fresh out of the fryer for maximum temperature and maximum flavor. Our first trip we ate it right in the car and it was smoking hot. You'd bite the chicken and the oil was still boiling. Perfect if that's how you like your food. Mouth burning. The second time we drove the 15 minutes back to home and while it was crispy and warm, it was a different experience. We got shoyu (a soy sauced flavor), and Korean style which is a sweet red sauce with minimal heat. When I say minimal it's basically the same as a small dab or Sriracha. Just not spicy for me. If you order one chicken and just split the sauces it's cheaper than ordering two halves. Don't ask why. Maybe because you're paying for another box. Each half chicken comes with 3 fried cheese. The cheese appears to but cut up mozerella, wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper. Similar to rangoons at Panda with a firmer center. The fried chicken itself is extremely crispy and delicious. The breast gets cut into 3 parts, and the thigh also 3. So you end up getting 8 similarly sized pieces of chicken if you order half a chicken. We also tried some of their regular plates. Loco Moco , the egg was over medium, so not runny. And the katsu curry, which seemed to get drowned by the (not Japanese style curry) curry so it was kind of soggy 15 minutes later when we got home. Advice: Don't deviate from the freshly fried chicken. It is just a fantastic experience.

Local and popular joint. Parking is extremely limited, we were lucky enough to find a spot. We ordered the 1/2 fried chicken, garlic flavored. In our box there were at least four wings. There was no white meat that I could determine. This is not to say it wasn’t flavorful, it was good. I wish they had a generic “Southern“ fried chicken flavor. The garlic flavored was alright, though. So was the white rice and we enjoyed having the pickled radishes on the side —those were tasty. We noticed it is best to phone ahead and put in your order because we waited about 30 minutes or so for our order. Since we were on vacation this was no big deal, we are not in any hurry or anything. For those pressed for time you definitely want to call ahead.

Not sure how this place got it's name, but the food is top notch, especially in light of it's relatively low cost! We ordered a pair of spicy pork bowls and were surprised when it turned out that a drink was included in the price ($7.50). Once we'd dug into our bowls, we were further surprised by just how tasty both the pork and rice were. Yes, this is a true hole-in-the-wall, and it is serving up deliciousness. There's relatively little dedicated parking as it's part of a small strip mall with other businesses; however, we didn't have an issue finding a spot within easy walking distance. Service was great, and even the people hanging about waiting on their own food were fun to chat with. Great (not so) hidden gem.

The parking here sucks BUT it’s so worth it. I called it in and had to wait about 15 mins past the time they gave me.

We ordered the Korean half chicken, garlic chicken, and fried chicken bowl. My husband ate the Korean style chicken, which has a Genral Tso reminiscent flavor to it. It was good, but not my style. My husband on the other hand, LOVED it.

My son did not care for his friend chicken bowl so my husband and I ate it. Its boneless and has a sriracha mayo thing going on with it. The chicken was moist and not overly breaded and they PACK the food in the bowl. It was actually a great deal for $6.50 with a drink. I really good deal.

I had the garlic chicken. It was AMAZEBALLS. The breading was perfect, not too much and crispy. The sauce was a sweet salty garlic that I LOVE. The chicken half was cut into about 8 pieces that were easy to eat. The chicken was moist and flavorful even without the sauce. It’s a light sauce (not like how bbq sauce is) but enough to get your hands sticky. This has easily become my favorite chicken on the island. I used to like Zips Korean fried, but this definitely takes its place as number one for me. For $12 with a drink, this was well worth it.

Both the half chicken plates comes with a corn/onion salad that is very coleslaw like and daikon (pickled radish) and three fried cheese pieces. I didn’t think I would like the cheese as I don’t normally eat things like fried cheese/twinkies/anything-other-than-chicken, but it was great. The cheese I think is a better quality cheese (like Kraft or something like that) because it had a lot of cheesy mozzarella flavor. I was thinking that it was going to be that flavorless something-like-cheese, so it definitely surprised me.

Even though it’s out of the way for me, I will definitely be back on this side for some of their chicken. I’m hoping that they can make the chicken bowls with garlic sauce instead of the mayo. But that GARLIC HALF...

2020 Edit: I can no longer recommend Itchy Butt. What used to be one of my favorite places has really gone downhill, despite their new renovations. The last two times we've eaten here everyone has gotten severe stomache aches - this never happened in years past. On top of that they have increased their prices yet again. What used to be a $6.50 bowl is now $9.50 for the same amount of food with less sauce than before, and now it seems to be getting people sick. Something isn't right here any more, don't take the risk. For a bowl that is only fried chicken and rice it's now cheaper to go get more food at Asian Mix or even Panda Express, and those won't get you sick.

2019 Edit: I had to drop a star unfortunately as the prices have been increased again. It's now $8.50 for a fried chicken bowl. It's good food, but I'm not sure it's entirely worth it any more, and that's coming from someone who used to eat here weekly.

Good food, large portions that include a drink, but the price has gone up since some of the other reviews. It's about $7.50 before tax for the fried chicken bowl. Still totally worth it, and big enough to split between two people...
