Nice and New. Glad L&L replaced the old previous Makiki Inn restaurant that was here before. I like it. It’s nice and has nice tables and new menu. I had the Chicken Katsu. I always judge an L&L by their Chicken Katsu. This location has pretty good Katsu. If you grew up in Hawai’i, you know what I’m talking about. I give full stars for the niceties and new location. L&L always provide customers with good local Hawaii plate lunches. I haven’t tried all their stuff yet but I will come back.

4 Stars for their hamburger steak plate and friendly service.

Update: After my good experience with the hamburger steak, my second time ordering it, the food was horrible. I think they added sugar to the gravy and not salt on that day last week. Chicken katsu sauce was similar to jello texture on 3/31/2025. 1 meal out of 3 was edible. Will not be eating here again. I had to throw away 2 meals . The cook cannot cook.He owes me $40.
