Awful insurance company. I could write pages about my experience so let me summarize. The adjusters reset out your claim until you call them. The inspectors i experienced could not do there jobs. One inspected my rv and didnt photo the roof, as this is required by Geico. Later i foundout he noted he didnt have any ladders to get on my roof... Why would an adjuster go to do something if he didnt have the tools to complete a job... Sad thing is my RV has an attached ladder on the back... He just didnt want to do his job. Well 6 weeks later they sent another adjuster and i got denied my water floor damage because my roof is old. However there is no roof leaks and the floor damage is not from the roof, the wall would be rotted were it ran down to the floor. But is not... I explained to adjuster and they said its not from the roof however theyre denying it because its old. I explained that makes no since and to tell me were my "maintenance leak" is from if theyre saying this is the cause. And believe it or not i was told she cant tell me where its from... How can something be denied they cant prove... However this was the case. They find reasons to not pay.
Not to mention on a seperate collision claim i bumped a pole with my rv and they wrote the estimate for the side panel damage but totally missed where it ripped my awning bracket out. This was missed by 2 adjusters before i explained to them to open there eyes and look at the damage infront of them. I was told they didnt realize there was an awning right there.. No kidding. WORST company for collision/ comp coverage. However there alright for liability because there cheap and if you have an accident the other party will have to deal with this terrible company.    Read moreIn handling my claim, I've mostly spoken with Courtney My experience thus far has been negative and has led me to consider a competitor company for my insurance needs. My initial conversation with Courtney was very upsetting. Courtney called to take a recorded statement from me regarding the accident. After the recorded portion of the call, she proceeded to tell me that I was at fault for the accident. When I asked for an explanation, she suggested a few times that I read a driver's manual and that no matter who I talked to the decision was the same. Her response was very mater-of-fact and lacked empathy. She stated that she had all of the information that she needed and there was nothing I could provide (e.g., witness statement, police report) that could sway the decision. I also spoke with Courtney this morning. When she answers the phone, she tells me that she just got to work and that she's going to have to place me on hold. I didn't think it was professional to let me wait. I would have left a voice message so that she could call me once she's collected herself. Her tone today was VERY condescending and smug.She tells me that the auto adjuster will let me know if Geico will cover the cost of my car having been stored at the tow yard. I explained to her she should have given me that info during our initial conversation because I could have handled things differently or had the car towed to my home. I've never had a major accident and this experience has left me despondent. In speaking with this young lady, she will not let you speak on your behalf and will suggest to you that you need to calm down even if you have not risen your voice or used inappropriate language. This is the worst company i have ever had to file a claim with. my appraiser received over 16 calls in two days and didnât return a single one. Nor did he respond via text after receiving multiple texts. You will have to call and make sure they are doing their job or else it will take 5 months just to get a deductible back. my current claim has already been a week in and they havenât appraised the car yet. Correction they went to appraise it but didnât appraise it. just left it at the shop without communicating or telling me anything. i lost my job on my last claim because it took them so long. i recently just lost one of my new jobs because my new claim is already taking longer than it should. when explained my situation you can tell they donât care or take any of it into consideration. the private investigator told me it could take anywhere from today or 2 weeks for him to look at my car. geico is more than unprofessional and not only that, you can tell they genuinely donât care about...
