Where do I even begin on what an AMAZING family-owned jewelry store this is. I'm getting married on October 5th of this year and unfortunately my mother passed away in February. My mom had left us some family heirlooms and a bunch of other jewelry and we wanted to get them appraised and checked out. Matthew is the one who helped us. He was so patient, kind, and helpful. There was a lot to go through and he helped us with everything with a smile on his face. One of the rings was a vintage cocktail ring, very gorgeous but to big to wear and a bit outdatedand. We didn't know what to do with the vintage cocktail ring and Matt had an amazing idea to take out the diamonds and make two beautiful bands one for my sister and myself. Mine I will be using as my wedding band. (They also rebuilt my vintage engagement ring, as it needed a lot of love!!) This is a beautiful way to remember my mother, grandmother and great grandmother as the rings were passed down from generation to generation. They took absolute beautiful care of our jewelry! Updated us frequently, and answered every question we had. Everytime I look at my rings I smile because I get to think about my mom. I would not recommend this business if you need something repaired, and they destroyed my trust. I had my engagement ring repaired here. After waiting several days after their promised return date, I called. They said my ring was all ready repaired and ready to pick up. I went to pick it up an hour later, and my ring was not fixed, but it was cleaned. When I pointed out to the owner how the setting was still not fixed, he took it to the back, did a bit of "tweaking" for 30 seconds, then handed it back to me. The issue under discussion was somewhat resolved, but it wasn't until I got my ring home that I noticed the underside of the ring's design was all bent up, with several new scratch marks! As an overview, the owner was difficult to communicate with, and they did NOT fix my ring to my satisfaction. My husband suggested I take it back to let them repair the damage they inflicted on my ring, but I fear they are too incompetent to handle something so important to me. I will unfortunately have to pay someone to fix the problem...

I have been a customer of Jems Jewels & Gold for over 20 years. This is a family owned business, and Karen, Scott, Matt and Ryan have consistently given me exemplary personalized service. The quality of their jewelry is the highest, and their prices are excellent for the quality of their products. Additionally, although buying jewelry in many stores can be a very intimidating experience, the shopping experience here has been relaxing and welcoming. Karen and Scott are insightful and creative, and have come up with many good ideas for creation of new pieces, as well as for resetting older gems. They have never pressured me when I have been in their store. Our son also worked with Scott and Karen in the design and fabrication of his wife’s engagement ring. The ring was unique and absolutely gorgeous!
