Aaron's in Hot Springs, AR.
In 2015, I had a horrible experience. To sum it up, corporate ended up getting involved and the "manager" no longer works there.
Fast forward to 2019. EXTREMELY skeptical given my last experience, I go ahead and give them the benefit of the doubt. Much nicer employees working there, so figured they would be better. WRONG. I purchase a 65" tv and a 60" tv stand. It was delivered the last week of May. The delivery guys drop my tv unloading it from the truck. Accidents happen, I get it. The tv is still operable. The delivery guy apologized profusely and said we could either get a discount on our lease or a new tv delivered. I call the store and speak with Melissa and let her know what happened and that we wanted a replacement tv. All seems well. A couple of weeks go by and I don't hear a word, so I call them for an update. "There is one on the truck coming in and we can call you to schedule delivery when we get it." Ok, cool. Another week or so go by, nothing. I call back and nobody seems to know what I am talking about. There are no notes of a broken tv and I have no tv being delivered or even scheduled for order. I have to call back the next day because Melissa was not there. When I call the next day, she doesn't even know what I'm talking about. By this point, I'm frustrated and tell her SHE is the one who I initially talked with about this. They locate a tv and schedule a deliver for today.
Today. I call shortly after they open, around 10:45am, to confirm my delivery. Per Jonathan- yes, the tv is being loaded up and I'm first on the list. Awesome. I ask for a call when they are headed out so that I can run home from work. My home is about 5 minutes from the Aaron's store. Never receive a call so I go ahead and leave around 11:15am. At 11:50am, still no tv. I call back and speak with someone, did not catch his name, and he confirms that the truck just left about 5 minutes previous to my call and I was first on the delivery list and he would call the driver to make sure. Don't hear another word from him. At 12:15pm, I call back and Jonathan answers. Apparently he tried calling, I never received a call. That very well may be an issue with my phone because he sounded genuine that he did try to call. He tells me that his sales manager informed him that my tv was replaced the same day that it was dropped in May! I ask for her name because this is completely false and he says her name is Crystal. He puts me on hold to "clear things up." When he comes back, he says that she had mistaken me for another customer. So my tv is not being delivered on this truck and now I am late going back to work. Jonathan promises me that I will have a tv delivered personally by him today once a truck is available.
I understand that accidents happen. But the only two times I have ever used Aaron's, and something like this happens. The moment they knew I had a damaged tv due to an employee dropping it, they should have followed up with me and stayed on top of this. I have not once received a phone call from Aaron's and quite the opposite, have been told they have no idea what I'm talking about. And for the sales manager Crystal to order them not to deliver me a replacement tv because it has been fixed already, without even confirming that, is completely absurd. I was reminded today why I have not, and now will never, ever use Aaron's in Hot...
Read moreIf I could rate half a star I would. First experience with getting a new dryer was fine, no issues. We ordered a new oven/stove from them . There was nothing that said the item we picked was from a 3rd party and would take longer than their delivery date. Then we finally get a date and (3 weeks after the order) and the timeframe is 3-6 pm. They showed up at 10 am. They can't help with getting our old one out, fine.. they didn't have to be so rude and condescending about it. They didn't even have all the equipment. Was supposed to have a new power cord and they did not bring it, and when we called them back later, they didn't even have them in stock, it would be another day or two. We had to hire someone from another place to haul our old one out and install the new one after I bought the cord myself. They then had the nerve to say I was rude and hung up on them. It's not rude if the conversation is over. As soon as we finish paying off our two items, we are never dealing with them again. All they care...
Read moreWe have paid 2 months of a very expensive zero turn lawnmower…..guess how many times we have used it , 1 time. Not because we don’t need it, it’s because it’s not functional . The first thing they gave us the wrong key for it. Then when we went back to the store to get the right key, we had to charge the battery. Brand new mower still can’t use it. When we bought it from the store it had a flat tire , they said we will get you a new tire before you pick it up. Well they just put air in it. Now it’s just flat in our back yard, it’s been 3 phone calls already to try to get a tire. Still no call back … no tire …. the lawnmower is use less at this point since the tire won’t hold air anymore. Oh but wait they definitely don’t forget to take our money. We are at a point to taking this thing back and never...
