I wanted to like this place. Unfortunately they fell short for several reasons.
I arrived , they couldn't find me on the list at firstI purchased the $15 Saturday bootcamp pass directly from their website After checking in I waited in the lobby for 30 min. The person at the desk was having a long conversation with a woman that had walked in after I arrived and forgot I was waiting. I eventually asked again if I could go into the class and she said "OH!" yes... Class started 30min late Antanique was supposed to be the instructor but she was not I saw Antanique walk by two times quickly as we were preparing to start. She then dissappeared and there was no explanation as to why she was not instructing the class. I only wanted to try the bootcamp because she was the instructor. It is very misleading to sell a boot camp, knowing the instructor will not be who is advertised The whole class was radio silent. No motivation from the instructor, no encouragement, no energy or excitement The instructor seemed like she did not want to be there and tired. The instructions in the beginning of the workouts were not properly explained and everyone was confused on what to do next Even though class began 30 minutes late it ended on time- however I paid for an hour class...do I get a 50% refund for this? There are much better bootcamps in Houston and surrounding areas that charge $5 or free. They are more organized, begin on time, enthusiastic, and make you feel excited to participate. Fenixx Fit really missed the mark. Please do not believe everything you see/raving reviews or social media hype I will not be back although I do wish them...
Read moreI went for the first time a year or so ago but I wasn't disciplined and scared of some exercise where we were off the ground. However, I decided to return when I saw an email about classes this week and I thought that would be better than working out alone. The boot camp was just that! It had various exercises and Antanique was very energetic and helpful with showing us what to do! There were also other workers, sorry I don't know their names, that were very helpful. Not only that but everyone else that were working out were very helpful and encouraging.
The only negatives were that we don't start warming up/stretching at noon so it was hard to plan around my lunch break. And this is part is out of their control but I'm allergic to something in the gym. Nothing serious just itchy watery eyes and a runny nose until I take meds.
I definitely encourage you to go try them out! An excellent environment! I will be back when I get some better allergy meds! And I'll probably do early or evening classes so my job schedule won't be a factor because you def don't want to leave early before getting your...
