Will jack up prices on the spot
I called ahead and asked if they had Need for Speed Underhround 2 for Xbox original and they said yes. This was my first time going so I didn't say anything initially when I walked in and just looked around. Automatically I noticed the prices were off. I'm an avid retro gamer. The 4 stores I usually go to didn't have it so I went to them. I go in and see that every single newish game, PS4 and Xbox One, no matter what the title was, was $14.99, 1st red flag. 2nd red flag, they had the game behind the counter when I got there, which most places will not hold onto games like that even if you call ahead and said you'll be there in 5 minutes. 3rd red flag was how new the price sticker looked on the yellow paper cd holder that said $29.99 I pealed it back only to find an older sticker that said $19.99. There are multiple listing for this game at $5.99, plus I asked one of the other game stores I go to, how much they would sell it for, and what do you know? They said $19.99. They put a new sticker on that specific game because they knew someone was coming in to buy it soon cause they got a phone call about it from me. I've been shopping in retro video game stores for over 12 years now. These people are not your normal retro video game store owners/workers. They don't give a shit about their customers or have any love for gaming. They only care about making money.
Do not go here unless you have no...
Read moreThis is probably the best video game store I've ever been to. They have all the newest games, and a sizable collection of old games and accessories, dating all the way back to the NES/Genesis/SNES. You can't buy a new SNES controller at any Gamestop in the world, but this store has them.
I saw that one review said the staff doesn't speak english well. The store is run by an Asian family, and the son speaks english fluently. The parents are both very nice, but sometimes I'll repeat myself a bit to make sure I understand the terms of the deal we're about to make. They've never been rude to me, but I could see how the language barrier could make them seem like they're coming off as rude.
Either way, I shop at GamePosh and not GameStop because I like supporting a local business. The family that runs it is always nice and happy to see me. They offer deals and specials and buy used games. They also offer games, controllers, and accessories for every single console all the way back to the NES....
Read moreI have been going here for a while now, and i love this place. It is the friendliest and most thoughtfull game store I have been to in many many years. The staff is always wonderful to us, and they have gone out of their way to get to know what types of games each of us that go like to play. I walk in, and am greeted with a smile, a welcome back, and an announcement of all the new games they have in that fit my play style. This place is just awesome, while the couple who run the store have heavy accents i've never had a problem understanding them, and so far have had no trouble getting them to understand me. I've been going to this store about two years now and if you want good games, cheaper prices, and good deals this is the place to go. My only complain would be that they sell out of some of the hottest games quickly, so sometimes i have to return later, but they've always held a copy for me aside when this occures. Awesome...
