Canh Bun Houston — Restaurant in Houston

We came roughly around 11am. They only have 1 person doing drinks , 1 person at register and one person checking food tickets. Those 3 people take turns taking orders. We waited for awhile then I walked up to the register to order my drinks and order food because after 10 mins no one came by. We have 5 people and only 4 drinks came out.

We waited till 11:40 and decided we want to leave , however, right when we stood up our food came out. So we sat down to eat. We order the broken rice charcoal meat plate, my kids got the pho special and I got the canh bun. Of course, my canh bun never came out. The food was very salty, pho meat ball was very chewy and tasteless, the broth was over salted, the rice was dry and meat is salty.

Menu has cash price and card price. For the portion it’s a bit over price for anything in soup but the rice portion is perfect for the price. The register area is in organized. My first impression and experience is not good at all. Everything was a turn off.

This doesn’t mean I won’t give it another...

I tried the Canh Bun here for the first time, and it blown me away. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The portion size was perfect for the price, super filling without being too heavy on the stomach, and honestly a great deal for the quality and quantity you get. What makes it even better is that it’s a family-owned business, and you can truly taste the love and care they put into every bowl. The staff was also friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for authentic Canh Bun in Houston, this place is an authentic gem! I’ll definitely be coming back to try something new....
