Today, I pulled my medical records to find a new neurologist and stop coming to this practice.
I love Dr. Kim. I've seen her for 15 years. When she brought in her PA, I saw her a few times. She saw me through surgery that changed my quality of life. My review is not regarding Dr. Kim.
Instead, it is about her front desk staff. I took my appointment info down incorrectly and showed up a day early. Instead of an ounce of empathy and human decency, the front desk woman got defensive and argued with me. Her tone was bored and then defensive. There was no I'm sorry. No offer to reschedule if tomorrow doesn't work. She even called me "patient" to my face. The 3rd time she said it, I said "I have a name, please call me by it."
I choose my doctors very carefully and the office staff factors into that decision. It isn't worth driving 50 minutes to go to an office to be referred to as patient and treated like I don't matter.
PS: I did not demand to be seen today or even ask to be squeezed into the schedule, despite my drive. I understand if I made a mistake putting my appointment in my planner. What I did want is human kindness regarding the situation and not to be debated with by a defensive...
Read moreI have been going to this dr for 25 years now. If it wasn't for the PA Julie I would be finding a new neurologist. Carol at the front desk is awful. She's rude and very unfriendly. The front desk is your first impression and she has made it highly unpleasant. Dr. Kim is oblivious and obviously not concerned about her front staff treating her patients this way. Today I was waiting for a prescription to get filled and tried called around 1:30 and no one answered the phone, they close at 2. I tried calling several more times and still no answer. I guess Carol decided it wasn't worth it to answer the phone. I love Julie to death, but unless Dr. Kim replaces her front staff I would recommend finding a...
Read moreI have been waiting almost a month and a half on my appointment. I had all the paperwork printed and filled out. Get to the window and I get “you’re not on the schedule”. They find a piece of paper in a pile that one slips to the other. I can tell it’s a total lack of effort on the staff. They tell me they’ll have to ask the doctor. Carol at the front is blank in the eyes. There are now two patients sitting and I’m sure I’m not getting back. Just waiting for that face to face. I’ve been treated worse but it’s hard to know when at this point. Absolutely the worst...
