For my fellow breakfast lovers, this spot deserves a place on your list. I recently ordered their Stuffed French Toast Breakfast through Uber Eats, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food arrived promptly and securely packaged, which is always a plus.
Let's dive into the star of the show: the French toast. If you’re like me, you might worry about that dreaded undercooked, eggy taste, but let me tell you, this place has perfected its toast. Imagine two thick slices of challah bread, golden and crisp, stuffed with velvety sweet cream cheese, topped with juicy fresh strawberries, accompanied with raspberry sauce and honey crème anglaise for you to drizzle on your own. There was a dusting of powdered sugar that sadly didn’t survive the journey, but honestly, it wasn’t missed with all the other flavors going on.
The meal also included two scrambled eggs (which I upgraded with cheddar for $1.50), two chicken sage sausage patties, a soft, buttery biscuit, and a side of fresh fruit. The biscuit was light, fluffy, and the perfect complement to the richness of the French toast. The eggs were okay, but let’s be real, the French toast was the undeniable star. The fruit was fresh and provided a refreshing counterbalance to all that sweetness and carbs. Honestly, they should rename it the "You’ll Be Stuffed Breakfast." I genuinely felt I got more than my money’s worth.
I’d be inclined to revisit and dine in. If you’re in the area, give them a try hopefully the customer service is good—and if you can’t make it in definitely consider ordering online.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Houston, and as a previous fan of their Dallas location, I was excited to indulge in their delectable offerings once again. The familiar scent of freshly baked fluffy biscuits and the comforting sight of creamy grits reassured me that I was in for a treat. Let's start with the food—it was simply excellent. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and every dish was prepared to perfection. From the savory mains to the mouthwatering sides, each bite reminded me why I fell in love with this restaurant in the first place. The quality and consistency of their culinary creations were impressive, and they did not disappoint.
However, while the food left me content, the same cannot be said for the service. I understand that a bustling restaurant can be hectic, but I couldn't help but feel rushed and somewhat neglected by the service staff. The main issue was the constant interruptions by different individuals, inquiring if we were finished with our plates and ready for them to be cleared. While promptness is appreciated, it became excessive and somewhat disruptive. The constant attention and interruption made it difficult to relax and enjoy our meal fully. Additionally, the busboy staff's uncomfortable glances towards our table added to the sense of unease.
Despite the service shortcomings, I would still recommend this restaurant, albeit with a suggestion. If you find yourself drawn to the exceptional food but are deterred by the subpar service, opting for a to-go order might be a...
Read moreI was so excited to try this place. I am a frequent flyer at the lab next door so I thought it would be good to end a lab fast. I have rated the service as 5 star. I had no idea I walked into the To-Go side. I didn’t see a different entrance for sit down. It is not a large place. The ToGo folks were super friendly. I wished they had a less or no carb alternative. I was surprised that bacon, bacon, eggs and a coffee came to $15+. They have some outdoor tables so it is possible to take your TOGO to the sidewalk. I wouldn’t eat inside due to the loudness of customer voices against the echoing glass walls, concrete floors. Opening the food containers I found a sad little scrambled thing and 3 strips of bacon that resembled jerky. Really hard and chewy. Cold. The biscuit was uncooked in the middle. I didn’t find the butter until after the meal- small little things at the bottom of the bag. The coffee was so hot, it took a good 15 minutes to be drinkable and it unsurprisingly tasted burnt and watery. My sad little egg had a strong buttery flavor no salt/pepper/salsa to save it. I realized no one asked me what kind of eggs I wanted. Opening the sad fruit bowl revealed something mysterious on the fruit. It reminded me of the recent recall of pineapple due to listeria and I set this one for the dumpster. I see a $15+ breakfast in Houston as a treat. But in this case, not so much. I honestly felt felt really bummed spending so much for so little. Look at the pics and decide for yourself. They say, “You are what you eat”. This TOGO...
