This is based on some email conversations with her when shopping for homeowners insurance and requesting a quote. Her last email to me was "You're shopping the same policy with multiple brokers? Why would you waste my time? These quotes take a long time to work out. Time is valuable."

Who doesn't shop with multiple brokers for insurance to get the best rate? Some brokers use the same insurance companies, so sometimes they will send the same policy but with different prices. If she really things people don't shop around to compare numbers, she must be very naïve.

Also, reason why I even told her that another broker gave me different information for the same policy ended up being extremely helpful. Linda tried to sell me additional coverage on my policy that I wouldn't have needed as it was already included. The other broker was patient enough to explain all this to me. I assume she got angry in her last email to me because she realized that she either misquoted, gave wrong information or her price was beat.

So lesson learned people! Make sure you shop around and don't let shady insurance agents try...
