1st visit for color and cut was great. Second visit was a nightmare. I showed Lisa a picture of my hair from the first time I came and said, "This was perfect. Do that again." She went to check her notes, brought over a book of hair swatches (I guess to point out what she did last time?) and I said, "That's fine - I don't know what you did last time, but just make it look like it did last time." Remember, I showed her a picture of my hair that SHE did. I trusted her to be able to repeat it. I settled in while she did her thing, then when she was done I went to Elizabeth to get my haircut.
After my haircut when my hair was dry I could plainly see that Lisa had dyed my hair purplish gray. Elizabeth went and got Lisa so I could talk to her, and Lisa tried to play it off by saying, "I decided to go darker" as though that was her choice!? Just, what??? First, no. You don't decide unilaterally to do something different than what your client asked for. Second, MY HAIR WAS PURPLISH GRAY. NOT A COLOR FOUND IN NATURE. She then tried to blame me, by saying that she brought the book over and I said okay. Are you kidding? I don't do hair. That is not my job. If you tell me that you can make my hair that color, and it's the same as what you did last time, I believe you! Its not my job to do technical consulting on the process of doing my hair with you. The nerve.
Since I had already been there for more than two and a half hours, I had to go. I stopped by the front desk and talked to the owner, and she agreed my hair was not like the picture that I was showed Lisa that I wanted, and that it was indeed gray. I scheduled time to come back the next day to fix everything. Fast forward to the next day at the end of the 2nd treatment: my hair was still not right. The top half, especially at the roots and about 4" down was BRASSY. Midway down and to the tips, it still had a grayish (ashy) tint. Since my hair had been through 2 days of work, Rachel (owner) suggested I come back after the weekend to see if things got better at the top, and we could put a toner on the bottom half. I guess she thought the top half wouldn't be as brassy by then? I don't know, I'm not a stylist. I said fine and scheduled time this morning (Tuesday) to "fix" everything.
I walked in and Lisa askeds what we were doing today, and I said "We're going to fix it. The top is still brassy-" and that's where Lisa cut me off. She said she was "not going to touch" the top half. I grabbed my stuff, told her that was fine, that I would be talking to the owner again, and I walked out. That was a little more than an hour ago - I'm waiting for a call back from the owner. I will update this review if/when they fix my hair, or give me back my money. I will say, that the haircut I got from Elizabeth was exactly what I asked for last time, and exactly what I asked for this time. She did an amazing job. If I could give her 5 stars in this review, and Lisa 0 stars in this...
Read moreOn July 20th I came to this location to get my hair colored and cut. I met with the stylist about 2-3 weeks before the appointment for a consultation to discuss my specific needs. We agreed on a color and specifically told her how I wanted my hair and she reassured me she could do it and the day of the appointment everything went well up until the haircut. It was a disaster from that point on. She obviously didn’t know how to cut my hair mind you my hair is fine and thin and no other hairdresser I have been to had a problem with my hair they always did an amazing job but this was not the case here. The color was amazing exactly what I wanted but the cut was absolutely awful. The ends were uneven and I had to ask her twice to fix it but it only made it worse and I asked her to stop. The bangs I asked for and was assured she could do she couldn’t do and I was so upset and she told me give it some time to settle and it should be fine it wasn’t. I have given it almost 2 months to settle and hopefully it would work and it doesn’t at all!!!! I have to wear headbands now, I shouldn’t have to!!!!! Now my hair color has started to fade at the roots has only been a month it should not happen this soon!!!!! I have been coloring my hair for years and this has never ever happened my roots usually don’t start to show for several more weeks so obviously this color was not applied correctly or the formula or brand did not stick to my hair!!!! I am absolutely livid very upset and disappointed that I spent $350!!!!!!! It was not worth it at all and now I have to let this disaster grow out some more and save up to fix it!!!!! I should not have to do that at all and I have never had to till now has been a very rough year from losing my mom to being in a horrific car accident!!!!! I chose this salon bc of the amazing reviews boy was I wrong!!!!! I’ll never come back here again or recommend this salon. I have never left a bad review before but this time I had to I had no choice too bad I couldn’t leave 0 stars!!!!!! Hopefully I’ll find someone to help me so I can feel good...
Read moreI’ve been going to Leana for five years now, and I honestly can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. She’s been my go-to stylist through every phase, from postpartum hair recovery, when my hair needed extra love, to a visit before engagement photos. Leana was there to guide me and worked wonders, helping me feel like myself again.
What I love about Leana is how she takes the time to listen to exactly what you want, while also offering her expert advice and recommendations. She knows what works best for my hair type and always helps me make decisions that I know I’ll love. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her clients, not just as a hairstylist, but as a person who wants you to feel your absolute best.
Even though I’ve since moved an hour away, I still make the trip to see her because no one else has earned my trust like Leana has. She’s not just a hairstylist; she’s a partner in making me feel great about my hair.
Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who’s not only talented but truly dedicated to...
