I was in the restroom 3-5 minutes tops. Feel free to check the cameras. When I came out, there were numerous tables available bc the server was trying to move me to one.
No, the food wasn't mostly eaten & if that was the case, why wasn't it thrown away? The fact that yall are commenting with more excuses totally invalidates that disingenuous weak apology you started off with. Stop the lies and gaslighting, and take real accountability instead of paragraphs of excuses. 🙄
If not, your coffee shop won't last another year.
Do better.
Original Review Below:
"Just let us know if you need to leave your seat." This is what I was told after I went to the bathroom & came back to find my food & personal items were removed & someone else was sitting at my table.
I became nauseous after eating the breakfast burrito & didn't want to vomit in front of everyone. I wasn't gone more than 5 minutes.
They said they thought I had left & had no way of knowing otherwise. I asked what happened to my food & they had it sitting behind the counter. It wasn't even thrown away, which I found odd if they thought I had left. 🤔 I immediately asked for a refund because more than half of my food was left. I ordered the Hibiscus tea, which was actually lemonade, breakfast burrito, blueberry muffin.
I left a personal item at the table & intentionally didn't put any tissue on my plate to indicate I was still there. Despite that, 2 people at the front went back & forth talking over me, shaking their heads as I was expressing my frustration.
There was no discussion about better training for the server. No ownership or accountability, just excuses. I was shocked & just wanted to get out of there.
The guy, "Just come & let us know if you need to leave your table", Apparently I should've let them know before going to the bathroom while holding back vomit. 😒The woman, "we just have no way of knowing. The other customer just came up & asked us to clean the table." Absolutely no ownership, smh.
Whatever happened to common sense & using your judgment? I told them I'd write a review about my experience as this was my 1st time here. The woman, "we're already giving you a refund. Why do you have to write a review?" I told her I'd include the fact that I was given a refund. But as I'm writing this, isn't that the least they could've done??? They didn't do me a favor by refunding me. Geesh🙄
The food - okay but made me nauseous and left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered a hibiscus tea and was given hibiscus lemonade.
The atmosphere- You are not guaranteed to have your seat if you step away if even for a few minutes. The experience made the atmosphere very unwelcoming with unreasonable expectations of patrons to check in.
The customer service - extremely disappointing & combative, no ownership or attempt to resolve issue or have me return - I had to request the refund
Overrall a 1 star, bc poor customer service is a deal breaker for me, especially in this economy. I won't be returning, but it wasn't like they were interested in that anyway.. .You know customer...
Read moreDuring a recent road trip from Houston to Austin, I discovered this gem and I can't stop thinking about it: Pavon Coffee Den. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the clean and safe environment, complemented by a stellar vibe that made me feel so comfortable. Don't get me started on how delicious the aromas were.
I decided to try their Cold Brew Shandy, and it was nothing short of amazing. The blend of flavors was unique and refreshing, making it one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. As someone who loves coffee, I was very impressed by their innovative signature drinks.
I also had the opportunity to work from the coffee shop for a bit, and it was an excellent choice. The atmosphere was conducive to productivity, with comfortable seating and a peaceful and calming ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing great drink recommendations that added to my delightful experience.

Read moreThis Saturday afternoon, it was 80% full. They have a mix of lounge seating, tables of 2 and 4, and 2 couches.
Tried one of their specialty coffee beverages, Ube Latte. Asked if they use a powder or the real ube. Was told it's an extract. I enjoyed it. It was sweet but not overly sweet. No earthy or unique taste so I feel the extract is not the 'real' ube. It was served at room temperature and not hot. Based on all of that, I will rate it as 4.5/5.
The overall cafe is nicely decorated. The restroom area has cool artsy wallpaper. Weird that the ladies restroom is spacious with 2 separated stalls but 1 sink and 1 mirror. They do play some background music but not loud and very mellow.
They offer some pastries, light savory bites, packaged snacks, beer, wine, and cocktails besides regular coffee and specialty coffee drinks. They also have cold water.
The wifi speed is pretty fast. I was able to stream Spofity, YouTube, and browse the Web with no slowness or buffering.
They have multiple power outlets in different areas. They also have outdoor seating with umbrella stands and multiple fans blowing.
Like most coffee shops in Houston, it does get chilly after a while, so you might want to bring a jacket.
Will definitely...
