Performance Speedshop — Local services in Houston

If you want a good quality carbon fiber hood with good customer service, stay away from Performance Speedshop/CMST.

I bought and installed a hood from them but the hood had defects & needed a lot of work to make fit.

First the 2 thread holes where they installed a wood board to ship the hood, were both were cross-threaded on the same side. Clearly they must have used a ratchet & overtightened the bolts without inserting by hand.. i had to fix the threads after a careful 2 hrs & purchase tools.

2nd - the hood was missing about 5-pre drilled holes or openings. I had to drill holes into it to accept the oem latches.

3rd - the 2 windshield washer openings were too small - i had to carefully use a file and widen without damaging the cf. Spent 2 hrs.

4th the hood arrived with about 4 dimples the size of a dime on the cf exterior. Very dissapointing.

I requested a partial refund, but this man Oscar from their company said that they purposely drill the openings too small so customers widen them lol. After i did all that, he then stated they couldnt help me with a partial refund for doing all the extra work & buying tools to make it fit because i had already drilled holes and widen the openings that they said their customers had to do lol.

Stay away from these guys. They are not honest or stand behind their word.

Very negative experience. Bought online carbon fiber body moldings for Porsche Taycan , cost about $700.Received the parts without any information about instellation. No adhesive tape on the back either. Contacted the shop multiple times including, Jordan. Did not get any help. Very dismissive “ no instructions available “. Knowing that there is instellation facility in Texas would expect some help from a technician. Very disappointment experience. Unless you live in Texas and you are planning to use their facility for installation, planning for professional installation or you are comfortable with DIY probably better to avoid purchasing any products online...

Ordered a pair of Aero Republic OE Style Replacement Mirror Caps for Porsche 911 992 & Taycan Carbon Fiber × 1. Came in a severely damaged box and one of the mirrors was shipped with a scratch on it (1st picture). We had reached out to customer service, after chasing them for multiple days did they finally give the ok to replace them. I received the mirrors today to only realize that they resent me the SAME mirrors with them slightly buffed out (2nd picture). We paid 650 USD for these mirrors to be scammed?? What horrible service and thieves this company is. I would STRONGLY advise to stay away as they clearly take their customers...
