Petra Thai Massage and Spa — Local services in Houston

This is the second of four locations I’ve visited. Located in the heights area. Easy to get to from I-45 via Cavalcade.

Inside is quiet, welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. My therapist was Net. A sweet woman that gives an outstanding massage. She is skilled, strong and does not miss any spots. She worked on me for 90 minutes. Next time I might do two hours!

I recommend that you visit any of the four locations: Royal Thai, Petra Thai, Family Thai or New Thai. Kathy, the owner massaged me at Royal Thai and was outstanding as well. You can expect a great massage from Kathy or Net, but I’m sure others will also provide the same level of service.

I prefer Thai massage because of how it incorporates stretching as well as pressure. And of course walking on one’s back adds extra pressure and more release of tight muscles.

I drove 22 hours from UT to Houston for an event and was really sore from the drive. After calling multiple businesses in the surrounding area and looking at reviews I decided to go here. Let me tell you it was a great decision, she’s a very kind lady I did the hour Thai massage and it’s by far the best massage I’ve ever received! Granted she did have to answer the phone a few times as it seemed she was alone in the office but I still got my full hour in and I respect her hustle. I just stepped out the door and feel amazing! I definitely recommend coming here if you’re just in town for a few days or live here it’s a hidden gem. Thank you!

The massage was disorganized and I felt that the woman doing the massage was just winging it. I came for neck and shoulder pain which she started to rub aggressively to the point where I told her to back off since I felt like she was pulling my skin off. She finally applied oil to the shoulder and neck area towards the end of the hour which she should have done earlier. The pressure applied when she “walked” on my back was and the stretching was uncomfortable, and I did not hesitate to share it with her.
