Well, I don't mind trying a hole in the wall place, and this place has 4.2 stars. I definitely didn't think it was worthy of 4 stars. We really tried it because of the name, lol. The place is small and an old spot. I ordered the huarache with fajita meat. My wife ordered the burrito with barbacoa and a single taco for my son. They started us off with cold chips and salsas. The salsas were the best thing about this place but I prefer warm chips. The huarache was big, the size of the plate. That was a plus on my plate however, there was little taste. The fajitas had no flavor, the sour cream also didn't have any flavor. It was so disappointing. My wife didn't like her burrito at all. She only ate half and told me the taste was making her sick (she did get sick later on). Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Can't help but remembering ancestors and friends through Dia De Los Muertos murals outside and inside, w/familiar characters that inspires our Mexican culture like Mario Moreno Cantinflas, Frida Kahlo, Loteria and a touch of Houston's spirit (Astros, Texans & Rockets). Like walking into your abuelita's kitchen who placed plastic over her furniture, you know what I'm talking about, "Like Home" con mis abuelos, en pas descansen. The service was welcoming, nice and cool. A bit pricey from my usual, but the serving size and food quality made me a 5 star. The salsa, "Hello" like grandma would say, "I was a bit angry with your grandpa when i made it." spicy, YEESSSS!!!! A definite must visit, my lady and i will be regulars.

Food was really good! And it did take a while for the food to come out because everything is fresh. You order at the counter first then take a seat w your loteria sign that identifies your order to the waitress (I thought that was very creative!) When i arrived at the table, it wasn't so clean. And my only complaint would be pricing! I think They charge u more because of the area it's in. Hubs and I both had chilaquiles w arrachera, 1 taco de fajita, 2 al pastor, and 2 agua frescas (which was delish by the way!) And total was 43 dollars! I just didn't expect it. Overall taste was great tho!!.

I would give it no stars if I could! My husband and I went here thinking that the food was going to be REALLY good since the pictures that they post on Instagram look very delicious. We were wrong! I ordered some flautas that came with ONLY 3 of them it also came with rice and beans. My husband ordered a quesadilla that came with rice and beans as well. We got two drinks. Just for that order it was $27.00!! We thought okay well maybe the food well make up for how expensive it is. Hell no! The food was horrible!! I'm Mexican and that food was more like taco cabana food!! Not authentic!! My flautas tasted just like the tortilla chips! Felt like I was just eating that! The rice was horrible not REAL mexican rice! The beans omg!! They were CAN beans!! Not authentic at all!!! My husband quesadilla was horrible too. ONLY Tex-Mex restaurants that I've been to use yellow cheese for the quesadillas!! I've always used white cheese and the taco stands which are more authentic then this place only use white cheese! The tortilla was the good thing about the quesadilla. The chips and salsa that came with chips were okay to me, but my husband didn't like them. The only good thing from this place were the green and red salsa and coke!! Didn't try the natural waters so I can't say if they were good or not. For $27.00 this place horrible!! I spend $30.00 in a taco stand (drinks included) for my husband, my 2 children, and myself!! This place was a rip off! Don't go here you are better off going to taco cabana then...

To give context, I am a waitress and also this was my birthday dinner. First impression was this place looks so cute, I’m always here for brown owned business. I was excited to come here for my birthday dinner with my family. When we walked in we were greeted and they let us know we can sit were we felt comfortable. Awesome. We were originally a party of 4. We sat in a booth and waited close to 10 min just for some to come n greet our table and get us drinks. Mind you as we sat there there was about 2/3 other tables there. As we sat n waited about 4 waitresses passes by our table and maybe eye contact. I started to loudly complain and asking my mom if she was ready to leave. Because she was the one that choose this place I decide to wait. Once someone finally came to our table she was abrasive and unwelcoming and couldn’t be bothered with my questions. She brought back 3 of 4 drinks we ordered and when we asked her for the other drink she never came back and a different waitress attended us. Now the waitress that came and helped up did try to be attentive and helpful. At the end of our meal after we received our food and everything for what it was that we ate. It was not worth the visit or the time we took. The bill came out over $100 and for us to have spent the money we did and the food was really subpar at best the drinks were alright. For everything that we got I should have went to my local tacos truck and got some fire from them then this watered down version of Mexican food. From where...

this little taco shop is amazing after I add it on all the extras was a little pricey I was a little disappointed that they didn't have yellow cheese just a Mexican cheese because I love my tacos with beans and cheese however they did make up for the big portion sizes honestly I could have probably went home and made their tacos into two I love their decor it was really really cute and they're nice little spot it wasn't crowded we went on a Saturday afternoon and it's good to have something like this in the area that doesn't charge an arm and a leg we got three tacos to each and two drinks only paid around $27 severance is good they set your table with a little bingo card and that's how they identify your table which is really cute I love the original paintings they do have fresh fruit juices there menu board was really hard to read because there's so much on there so I did just look at the takeout menu because I didn't want to hurt my eyes trying to look at everything and just kind of told him what I wanted because they have only a couple options for the breakfast tacos it was pretty good I need a little bit more salt but overall it was fine I will be a returning customer and I can see myself going there a couple times a week or thing I would suggest possibly having breakfast tacos that have like a special with already all the combos and beans and cheese and maybe a slice of avocado or something and having that at a certain price and setting having to add everything on one by one but...
