A few weeks ago I accidentally vacuumed my Diamond Cross up in the vacuum. I was totally devastated and was sure that from the looks of it, it was lost to me forever. I’m a Breast Cancer Survivor and I gifted this Jewelry piece to myself when I was at my 5 year Anniversary. Because there’s a Special History surrounding the Piece ( my BC Journey and the 5 years Survivorship) I Had to get it repaired no matter the cost. So, I began trying to locate someone that had the expertise in Jewelry restoration. While talking to a very good friend, she immediately told me of her experience with Reiners and the fact that she herself had a ring repaired by them. Without hesitation I contacted Reiners, told them of my dilemma and asked if it sounded like something they could fix or repair? I was told to bring it in so they could see it. I didn’t waste any time getting it to them. When I walked in and introduced myself as the person that had previously called about the Cross, the person at the counter asked to see it. When she showed it to the Jeweler I actually heard him say Holy S**t. I was told that yes they could repair it but at that time couldn’t tell me how long it would take. I was told that someone would call me within the next few hours with an estimate of how long it would take. I wasn’t even out of the area when someone called, gave me a Time frame of approximately 2 weeks and an estimated cost of $350/450. I was asked if I wanted them to start the process and the answer was an Emphatic Yes, by all means Please do whatever it takes to Restore/Fix it. Two weeks went by and it was ready for pick up just as Promised. When I saw it I couldn’t believe my eyes, it Looked Better than it did the day I bought it which was over 20 years ago. As a matter of fact I can’t remember it looking this Amazing. I want to sum this up by saying, if you have jewelry that you think there’s No hope for, trust Me, THERE IS HOPE as Long as there’s Reiners Fine Jewelry. From this Point on ALL of My Jewelry will be in Their Very Capable Hands. THANK YOU REINERS FOR RESTORING A PIECE YHAT I THOUGHT WAS DAMAGED FOR...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago I accidentally vacuumed my chain and cross into my vacuum. I couldn't believe what happened. I was totally devastated. You see I gifted myself this particular piece of jewelry in my 5th year of being Breast Cancer Free, that was 20 years ago. So needless to say it was of Great Sentimental Value. My Heart was broken. A dear friend told me about Reiner's and her experience with them. I wasted No Time getting to them, maybe just a matter of a couple hours. I was greeted by a very nice and caring person and explained what had happened. Initially she couldn't tell me if it could be repaired but she Immediately took it to the Jeweler. Even from where I stood I heard her repeat my Story and I Heard the Jeweler exclaim: Holy S**t! When I heard that I immediately thought to myself : All was lost in spite of how Great my friend told me they were. The person that was helping me return to tell me that the Jeweler said he would look at it and would contact me in a few days. I hadn't even gotten out of the neighborhood when I received a call informing me that the Jeweler could fix it but it wouldn't be as before. For me that was an Emphatic YES! Whatever could be done, Please do. Fast forward, I asked for an estimate of the repair cost which was $350/$450 and I thought No amount of money could replace the Value it meant to me. After my approval of the Estimate I was told it could be ready in 2 weeks and they did not disappoint on Repair nor Timeline. I Picked it up yesterday and was Totally Blown Away! I looked Better than the day I bought it. BEAUTIFUL!!!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Thank You Reiner's for Restoring a 'Piece' of me that I Never want to Forget... My 5th year Breast Cancer Experience (as I get older Forgetting is getting Easier). Every 5yrs I gift myself a New Jewelry Piece and from This point on ALL of my Jewelry will go to: Reiner's...
Read moreI had an awful experience at Reiners while shopping for engagment rings. The moment I walked I was made to feel out of place. From the woman at the desk, sales people to the jeweler I was made to feel that i didnt belong there. I had a consultation booked and was never seen by anyone. I spoke briefly with a jeweler who was very condesending and seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by me. When describing the ring I wanted designed, the jeweler pulled up a mock-up that was pretty close. When mentioning the few things I would like to be different from the mock-up the jeweler brushed me off and said they "of course, we're professionals" I'm not even sure what he meant but I took it mean that was inconvenience and did not want my buisness. I was so put off that after 10 minutes or so I decided I would not go with them and let them know I would call if interested. The jeweler then tried to pressure me into buying a ring immediately, to which I declined.
I don't know if my experience is because I was dressed comfortably, because I'm a woman or because I am a person of color. But I was left feeling it was all of the above. I was not going to give them thousands of dollars after they treated me so poorly then had the audacity to try to pressure me into buying. I ended up going with Houston Diamond Exchange where I paid a very reasonable price for a 4 ct diamond, white gold engagment ring that my partner absolutely loves. I was extremely disapointed with my experience at Reiners and would not recommend them to any women or...
