My partner and I have visited this particular store twice in as many weeks. As soon as you approach the store before the main doors, you are welcomed by some absolutely stunning outdoor pieces of furniture, mirrors, water fountains, lighting and several pieces of decor such as over sized lanterns and a variety of very nice pieces. We must have spent 20-30 minutes outside checking out these outdoor ensembles...they were awesome!
We proceeded inside where we were greeted by one of the staff that was extremely pleasant and made us aware of the 60% off sale currently underway on all Christmas decorations. We very carefully explored every square foot of the first and second floors of the store. Having worked in department store retail for several years I am fully aware of the hard work that is required to maintain the sales floor keeping the merchandise neat and orderly and fully stocked at all times. I have shopped virtually all the stores and shops Houston has to offer and I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything remotely close to the extraordinary level of merchandising that Restoration Hardware displays. The consistently high quality merchandise coupled with impeccable customer service created a very warm and welcoming shopping experience! What a pleasant surprise! Many of the staff members speak multiple languages to ensure everyone will experience this heightened level of customer care and service.
Doug and I decided to visit again this past Sunday to purchase some of the beautiful Christmas ornaments we had looked at the week before. There were so many to choose from that it was challenging to make a decision but we were finally able to figure out exactly what we wanted. Again, the staff members were so friendly and helpful. We made it a point to introduce ourselves to the store manager and share with him what a pleasant and exciting time we have had on both visits to his store and also how fantastic the job his staff members are doing! He was very appreciative that we took the time to say hello and share with him our feelings with regard to the store and the staff! We will be going back! We say a dining room table we both really liked as well as a collection of beautiful fabrics I am considering using for designing some fabric walls in our next...
Read moreFirst, I would like to say that Sherry Stefanos is a phenomenal employee. She is detail oriented and is a great problem solver. Sherry also knows the furniture well and has a good eye. Even more important, she seems to enjoy her work and working with clients. We purchased several pieces from her and plan on working with her in the future. Before Sherry came to save the day (management sent her), I was appalled and saddened by the way my family was treated by a salesperson by the name of Johnny Rendon. He was visibly not interested in helping us. I asked him very basic questions about a sectional and his responses were cold and absolute. His responses were “no” and “we don’t have that” or “no, we don’t make them in that size.” After probing, he found out that they did, in fact, have another size. I needed to see the difference in dimensions and asked Johnny if he had measuring tape. He brought it back with a hardened facial expression and said “here” and handed it to me. His attitude got nastier and nastier as the minutes passed. I can only assume that Johnny did not want to work with us because we are Black. He was very nice to the white customer I saw him working with before someone sent him to us. After he exited by telling me “I’ll get someone else to help you,” the manager came to apologize and offered us bottled water. Management did a good job by giving us the experience we deserved by sending Sherry. However, my concern is that Johnny Rendon is still working at the Highland Village location and may treat other people badly. I have purchased RH furniture at stores in Chicago, St. Louis, and Los Angeles and have always had good experiences. I never imagined being treated so poorly by anyone working with the company. I would also like to note that Alayna, who has also helped me multiple...
Read moreI really did not to want write a review but my experience so far has not met my expectation nor has the quality of the furniture met my expectation for the amount of money that was spent. I purchased a king size bed which is good not great since the bed I purchase was the same model on their showroom displayed; however, after returning back several times to the showroom and I notice that the quality of my bed vs the show room piece is not the same. My sofa is a another story. After waiting about 3 months to arrive, it took only two days for my wife and I to realize that the sofa had a defect. The sofa droop and dip which ultimately was useless too sit because the uncomfortable angle and pain it cause on our backs. Well its been a month now with back and forth emails/phone having ppl come out to take a look without any resolution. I'm still waiting for any response after past week of emailing. I be very wary on purchasing from them again which more likely not. By the way my sofa is made in China and bed was not, if that means anything. Also, after watching their furniture Dr. come out to take a look at the sofa and taking it apart in some areas, I was not impress in the quality of construction. I would not be surprised if they have many quality control issues and complaints so far. If you are reading these review which i wish I did prior to my purchase, please really consider them. For the amount of money they charge, you would assume better quality, customer service in terms of warranty issues. They are quick to sell you items but slow in replying to issues and I'm not even sure about resolving yet them since i'm still in the process in trying to figure this mess out. I'm going to have to head out this weekend, 2nd time in 3 weeks to try to talk to a manager. Hopefully, i don't get...
