Worst service EVER. My party of 3 came here to celebrate a big night. I specifically put in my reservation that it was a night of celebration. When we arrived, the hostess said āand you have 90 minutes for your meal tonightā then walks us to the table. Iām SHOCKED- and as soon as our server brings us our water i asked him ācan you please explain the 90 min limit for dining? Do we need to pay more to secure the table for longer???? Iām very confused we are here to celebrate a big night and may be here for a whileā. And he said āoh donāt worry about thatā and then left to go grab our cocktails. Before we received our first drink, we notice the hostess go up to the table next to us and request the two women finishing their food, AND bottle of wine, that they need to leave and that their time is up. That really set the tone for us as we worry we also have a timer ticking on our night as well. As we are finishing up our meal, our server pours the last of our beers in our glasses so they are full again. Two minutes later the hostess BOLTS straight to our table and tells us our ā90 minutes are up, and we need to leave since there is another reservation who needs our tableā (we also were sat at a big table and we only were 3 people, and we couldāve been sat at a smaller table???) I respond to her that we will will leave once our drinks are finished- Iām not CHUGGING an alcoholic beverage. So she leaves, we finish and we go ask for the manager to get some clarity of this awkward situation. We tell him how incredibly insulting it was to be told our ā90 minutes were upā like this is a school lunch cafeteria. Considering how expensive our meals were (over $130 a person), that was such a humiliating, condescending thing to push us out while we still had things to finish up AND also while knowing we were celebrating a big night, which was now cut short and ruined. The manager seriously couldnāt care less and didnāt apologize or try to accommodate us in ANY WAY for this matter. We have eaten at WAY better, more expensive and luxurious, BUSIER restaurants, and NEVER EVERRRRR had the restaurant tell us we had a time limit, let alone eject us and other guests. I couldnāt believe how unprofessional and unprepared this place was. DONT BLAME YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR YOUR BAD PLANNING. I will be sure to tell everyone about my experience here so no one else has to worry about a timer ticking down as they eat their mediocre...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3/5 āļøāļøāļø at best. This place is more for IG than for good sushi or food. I usually donāt like giving bad reviews and Iām sure to keep up the rating this might get taken down. Would I go again probably not, do I recommend going I would say yes, vibes are get you will get decent food and great service but will definitely question the prices.
Service was 5/5 for sure from the hostess to the server they earned 5/5. Same for the ambience and the decor - from the Japanese cherry blossom to the lanterns it looks great. The food and drinks is where this place doesnāt win any points. Itās definitely not worth the money you will pay either and there is better Asian food out there.
The Chicken Gyozas are good and worth a try but the chicken seemed over cooked and dry. The cucumber salad is actually quite refreshing and would recommend. Also tried the crispy rice sushi and it wasnāt really that great. The heaps of sriracha mayo drowns the rest of the flavor but I think thatās by design since the remaining doesnāt really have any flavor.
The chow mein was great but only flaw here was it was bland - after some salt and a bit of sriracha it was perfect. Will recommend this. The Eggplant emoji roll is decent and a good vegetarian option on the menu.
The General Tens Chicken was the worst dish of the night that we actually couldnāt make it past the first bite - we actually had to send it back. It looks deceiving that it maybe good but (hate to say this) certain fast food Asian places have better food. It not even remotely close to the description. We werenāt expecting it to be like General Tsos Chicken but when it came out it was just multiple pieces of fried chicken pieces dowsed in some orange looking sauce and once we took a bite it was bone dry. Sauce was just way too sweet and didnāt really go past the sweetness.
For the drinks we got the Old Fashion (nothing out of the world), Kyoto Mule (seemed like it was just a very lime-y ginger beer without any vodka) and Yuz it or Luz It (it was the better of the 3 but tasted like vodka with concentrated...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSpent the day in Houston only because we wanted to come to Ten Sushi for dinner. Today, they knocked it out of the park again. First, Chelsea was our server. She was amazing!!!! Beautiful, friendly, and knew the menu like the back of her hand. She made a great recommendation also, which was the BG roll. Light, refreshing, unbelievably tasty and delicious. We also had the Forbidden Roll, Dragon Roll, Black Widow Roll & had some amazing drinks. We got a Bangkok Curry to take with us for lunch the next day. That dish is a MUST-TRY!! Also got the opportunity to meet the owners just by chance and these men really have every aspect of this restaurant and the one across the street, which they also own (Bosscat Food & Libations) on point. Glad we got to meet the Reeds.
Back to the review. Letās talk about the space and how gorgeously decorated it is. The artwork is a very subtle street art on the walls with a colorful piece on the ceiling that extends into a 3D cherry blossom tree which is impeccably clean. Iāve been to other places where this concept is tried but fails due to dust and poor maintenance. Not this tree. Perfectly clean, vibrant colors and you never have to worry about dust falling in your food. I highly suggest people start looking at the ceilings and the vents in restaurants. A large percentage will make you head for zee hills. Ten Sushi is impeccably clean. The restrooms are also beautifully and thoughtfully decorated as well as sparkling clean.
These chefs take such pride in the food they create. The presentation always blows my mind. Thereās no other sushi place that I have found that compares to Ten Sushi. Iām originally from California but moved to Texas a few years ago. I was pleased to hear that they have a Ten Sushi back in California (Irvine) so Iāll definitely be going there when I visit family.
Thank you so much to the whole staff for providing us with yet another memorable food experience. We will...
