I recently went in for some western gear because I’m going to the rodeo. I find this beautiful ring that fits me perfectly and then I drop it by accident “it breaks,” but I know I wanted to purchase it because I knew it could be fixed and I’ve always looked for a ring like that because I wear size 4 ring which is really hard to find. I tell the store clerk a Caucasian woman with blonde hair and glasses named Greta : “ I find it so funny how I’ve finally found a ring I’ve been looking for but I manage to break it, I’m still going to buy it and fix it because I love it. And she says, oh haha yeah well you break you buy.” “ In a very condescending way insinuating that I wasn’t going to purchase the item that I broke… as if I was going to leave the ring there and just walk out. I am an African American person and I’m very used to being profiled when entering certain stores. I told her “ Duh, you think I’m just going to walk out and leave the ring here?” And she started laughing and complemented me on my looks and my nails which weren’t even done and called another clerk to “look at my nails” to detour the conversation . I told the other clerk about what she said to me and no one addressed it. Moral of the story is I would’ve bought more because I saw a really cute jacket but I don’t feel very welcomed anymore after she had made that comment. “A more professional response from her would be something neutral like, “Thank you for understanding” or “It happens, no worries.” Her response made it feel like she’s scolding me rather than just handling the situation, but I guess she thought that I looked like a person that would leave a broken ring and not take...

This store has a fantastic selection of on-trend boutique clothing, jewelry, and other fun accessories! I found it while walking around Rice Village and immediately felt welcome. The lovely ladies working here poured me a glass of wine and gave me outfit suggestions on some of the items I had picked up to try on for an upcoming work conference in Nashville. I cannot recommend stopping by this little shop enough, especially if you’re looking for cute clothes, gift items for someone fashionable in your life, or apparel/accessories to support a local team! Honestly the friendliest customer service I came into contact with in Rice Village. They also stock locally made items by women-owned businesses which is such a huge added bonus....

This is my 3rd time at this place and I’ve never left empty handed! They have the cutest selection of literally everything! From hats, dresses, headbands, to soaps and the most beautiful jewelry- it’s literally a one-stop shop when looking for a birthday gift! Also- the staff is so helpful & amazing! Today, I had to run in & get a dress for a wedding - my little one accompanied me and one of the ladies working there gifted her a beautiful bracelet that she loved so much!
