There's a story behind my relationship with Liquor Store #5: I was homeless for a brief time and Lanny @ LS#5 was so sweet to me when I came in, even though he could have looked down on me. During this time, whenever I could scrape up $5 for a few mini bottles of vodka, I'd leave the shelter & bus over a couple miles to LS#5. I was never a drinker before becoming homeless; it will drive you to drink though. Now that I'm back on my feet & have a vehicle again, & feel like a drinky-pooh, I go back to Lanny. I was there today for a bottle of Russian Standard vodka to keep in my freezer. The owner is often there too, & he can advise you on the better liquors, as he's a wealth of knowledge. They didn't greet me when walking in ( I was the only one coming in and they weren't with customers), the male employee even walked in front of me in between the shelf and myself and didn't say excuse me, hello, can I help you...nothing.
