I'm going to rate this place a 5 star because I love that it's not just a bar, it's a coffee shop as well as cbd, because that opens it up to bringing kids, who I almost always have with me, and for people of different faiths who don't drink alcohol.
I will say that something to know is that they add the gratituity in the price of the total when you check out, so unless you get really amazing service, there's really no need to add more tips because they are already adding about a it's 16% extra on top of what you're paying.
I will also say that it was about $30 to have 2 drinks 1 cookie and an almond croissant which seems like inflation is in full swing, but like I said I am giving them a 5 star because the vibe is nice and the people were nice as well.
The cookie was yummy and it was soft in the middle and crunchy around the edges. I liked the almond croissant--it had some sort of cream or something inside of it that made it soft and fluffy that I liked. The Hazelnut latte was good, although there was not a strong coffee taste, but that's OK.
I have to say that my favorite thing of all is the Turkish delight iced drink. I've been here a couple of times now and these are the things that I got most recently, so that's why I remember the names of them, but I know for sure that the Turkish delight has been my favorite. It's got crushed pistachio and a bit of rose pedal on top that gives it a great taste.
I gotta say-- the couches need to be cleaned because they are disgusting, especially the one under the wall with all of the greenery on it. The rug sheds like crazy and I got all of our clothes. I'm not even trying to be nitpicky, but it shed everywhere and it's all over my shoes and clothing, not to mention that its ripped and could be a tripping hazard. Like I said, I'm not trying to be nit picky, which is why I gave them a good star rating but they really need to clean up the place. However I would come by here again if only for the Turkish delight and a...
Read moreThis coffee shop is located in the active area of the Heights in Houston. It is an outlier for a lot of reasons. This shop has one of the most chillest vibes as the atmosphere is very relaxed and amicable. The decor and the interior design of this place is very astonishing, such that it makes you feel at home - hence the amicable atmosphere. There are plenty of seating and seating styles-barstools, table chairs, and couches. Outdoor seating as well. Additionally, they also have a dispensary store, which consists of plenty of options, including gummies, snacks, oils and so much more. The options they serve feature a variety of products, from coffee to liquor and cannabis. Some of these products do include CBD options. With that being said, I admire the creativity of these products and the staff was very knowledgeable about them. They did a fantastic job with processing them, as well as the presentation of these drinks/food, and I was very satisfied with how they tasted. I arrived at Wild for the first time on Saturday due to a recommendation by a friend, and I was amazed by this establishment. The vibe was immaculate, the staff was welcoming, and the drinks I ordered were amazing and put me at ease (ordered the White Widow with CBD). This is a vibrant shop with vibrant and amazing products.
The only downside would be parking - as it is limited, although street parking is an option. But because it's located in the busy area of the Heights, finding a spot can be a challenge but it doesn't impact anything. In the end, I was very satisfied with this place.
Overall, Wild is an amazing coffee shop. Great and welcoming staff, amazing coffee and food options, and such immaculate vibes are the reason why I would highly come back. Definitely a great spot to study, go on a date, or just chill with your friends. I had a great time and will be coming back. Honestly, I can see this being a trendy local coffee shop...
Read moreInitial thoughts/Environment: Iâve seen this place numerous times on IG and itâs so cute and photo worthy. It has a lot of space to set up to study or have a cute meeting. There were outlets to plug up your laptop, but choose your seating wisely because Iâm unsure if all seating areas were close to an outlet.
You will see people from all walks of life such professionals in business attire, hipsters, and everything else in between. Itâs a nice, eclectic place and the employees make you feel welcomed! Also, the music was on point! They played Doja Cat, Future, Kaytranada, Kendrick Lamar, etc.
Food/Coffee:
After you get past the vibey-ness of the environment, the pastries look so tasty and the coffee was just ok to me. I ordered the Toffee Coffee which had Irish Cream in it. It was just ok because I didnât taste the flavoring and had to add sugar and I didnât feel anything after drinking the coffee when itâs supposed to have CBD.
Cost: BE WARE of the automatic 16% gratuity thatâs added to EACH ORDER. There is a small sign that goes into the details of the justification of the additional cost. From the picture of the Cup, the original price of the coffee was $9 and ended up being $11.36 after gratuity and tax. I was planning on staying for a while and was going to buy a pastry later, but the gratuity turned me off. If youâre coming in a group, I would recommend ordering together so avoid that 16% gratuity on each order.
Parking: I came around 1045 am and I was able to get a spot in the front, but there were cars that were parked on there side of the shop (see pictures for details). It may be struggle to find parking, so be prepared for that.
Overall, I would certainly come back! Itâs a chill environment. I probably wonât do the coffee, but will def...
