Maria and I were looking forward to our BBQ adventure. David Welch is the talented BBQ Chef and entrepreneur of FireCraft BBQ in Kingwood. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the mouth-watering aroma of smoked meats and the warm hospitality of David and his team.
David's journey to becoming a master of BBQ was not an easy one. He started from humble beginnings, but his passion and dedication to the craft helped him perfect the art of smoking meats. He has become known for his exceptional use of Black Angus prime cuts, which he transforms into truly extraordinary dishes that are the embodiment of transformation.
Despite the challenges he has faced on his BBQ journey, David has never lost his drive for perfection and his commitment to creating exceptional flavors. He has taken part in competitions, received exposure, and has received constructive criticism along the way. But every step has only fueled his desire to improve his craft and create dishes that are truly exceptional.
FireCraft BBQ may be a new permanent location, but David's experience on the BBQ circuit is not. His years of experience has helped him develop some mouth-watering recipes that are sure to please even the most discerning BBQ connoisseur. With his unwavering dedication to perfection and exceptional flavors, it's no surprise that David's glory hands are due for recognition.
Who knows, maybe we'll see David and his team on the Food Network channel soon. But for now, we're just grateful for the opportunity to savor some of the best BBQ we've ever tasted in Kingwood, and to delight from a true master...
Read moreMy spouse stopped here today to grab a bite because a few friends were raving about it. The customer service she says was nice and helpful for her first time. We tried the meat and it was okay yet very greasy. There was a pile of grease at the bottom of the container and all over. After handling the bag for my spouse to get it into the house felt like I was at the pit all day. The reason I gave 2 stars is because of the way the food was handled. The bag was filled with grease and there was more coleslaw on the bag and containers than inside of it. The portions of coleslaw were barely a scoop for over $5. Also made me wonder was it scooped into the container using their hands because why was it everywhere? Maybe it was an off day, but presentation especially for a newcomer is important. I decided to not feed my family the coleslaw and stopped by HEB to pick up potato salad. As far as the flavor and quality, we enjoy lean meat but the brisket was thickly cut which made it fatty for sure. For $26 for a 2 meat plate and not receiving what was ordered also disappointing. We still ate what we could simply because we don’t waste money. For the coleslaw though, we lost $10 that was just unappetizing.
Update: my mother in law tried the dirty rice and we all decided to. Definitely tasted burnt and of course a small portion for $5. Tasted like Zatarains box rice. Very greasy when reheated. My mother in laws chicken was extremely greasy when heated up. We lost our appetites for sure. She tossed her food so that’s $21 gone.
This ruined our night to eat out.
We officially...
Read moreI am doing a solo, best of BBQ in Houston and surrounding areas. All of the restaurants, food trucks, fairs, events, etc. I have never stood in line for 10 minutes, yes, 10 minutes, with "only" one person ahead of me, at the register. Being a retired restaurant(s) owner, and still in the industry, not as an owner, I do 100% understand, the how, what, and the why's, of this business, yet alone, any customer based business. #1 rule, Customer 1st!! While they noticed and saw I was there for 10 minutes, not one of the 2 ladies, a minute later, a 3rd, never said one word while I waited patiently. I was acknowledged when I entered, but that was it. One lady even looked at me after standing there, but no words. They should have fixed the issue, and they said, "Happens often!" Gift card issue, I believe. My thing is, at lunch time, 1230pm, the line should flow fairly quickly, and customers, like myself, was about to buy my office lunch there, but, I took my $358.27 to Pappas. At least we know we get acknowledged there if we stand in line for 10 seconds. Sorry, but I don't wish someone else has to deal with the same issue. I would have that issue fixed ASAP if I were an owner, even as a manager. $300 today was a loss today. Let's not do another one, please. I hope this helps, and I hope this doesn't get ignored. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me there! Exact situation. Where you're located, I would assume, customer retention is important, and ao is word of mouth. Good luck to you, I do honestly wish you and your staff the...
