Duck Donuts — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

Came Last Night (9/9/2018) at around 7pm and the line was almost to the Door! There was only one Associate on the Floor making Donuts while the others (manager included) were in the back. About 10 minutes go by and finally the manager peaks her head from around the corner and realizes there is a line and gets people to the front to help but to be honest they were scrambling like they didn't know how to handle the situation. Finally the Line goes down and I put in my order and wait another 10-15M Mins to receive my donuts since only one person was Dressing the Donuts. I was there almost 30mins for Donuts which to me is a way to Long even if they are made to order. With all that being Said the Donuts are AMAZING(Warm and Fluffy) so they got that going for them but they seriously need to work on the Customer service side of things since that's how you get people to come back. The donuts are amazing. This poor review is because of an employee. She is an older woman who seems to be a manager there. Her attitude is just awful. I was accidentally served a Is iced coffee. When I tried to rectify the situation the woman got very upset is very upset. After showing me the receipt said ice coffee she went back to pour me a hot 1. The couple only filled up about half way before stopping so she decided to take the ice coffee and pour the other half in. She then microwaved the coffee. After I watched this happen I asked for a refund on the coffee to which she gave me cash and it was 50 cent short. Great cake donuts with customized toppings. I have ordered from here several times. The cake donuts here are dense and soft with variety of toppings. My favorite are: Sunrise, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Bacon, Blueberry Pancake, and Strawberry Shortcake. The toppings melt on the donuts so be careful where you put them so the box doesn't slide. If you want to bring them to work, get there early as possible. I got there at 7 one morning. The guy who made donuts told me it would take 15 min for his fry to warm up and 15 min more to make a dozen. It was no problem for me to wait but be aware of the wait. The early morning worker was really nice and friendly unlike other places where they look annoyed when you come in. Overall, worth a visit especially if you have never tried...
