Part 1 We initially came in on February 2nd to order a dress. They took measurements, we left a $200 deposit and we set up an appointment to return for our 1st fitting March 16th. When we arrive for our fitting they said they notified the warehouse to bring our dress. We waited for 30 minutes and had no update. As we waited, the client that was ahead of us asked â whatâs taking so long?â and one of the girls said we have someone ahead of you. The lady responded then why schedule an appointment if youâre going to take this long? The girl responded â I donât know how you have an appointment if we donât schedule appointments Saturdays or Sundaysâ which is super weird because we also had an appointment And also the First Lady. So if you donât make appointments how do we all have one?? That was the first red flag.
After 45 minutes of waiting we were like do you know if they are almost here with the dress?? The girl responded âI already sent them a message about your dress, from there itâs not my problemâ she noticed we got upset about her comment so she said let me go to the warehouse to check the update. She left and after about 20 minutes she wouldnât return so we asked the other girl. Whatâs taking so long?? Is the warehouse super far? She responded we canât give you the location of our warehouse. We said we donât need a location we just want to know why itâs taking so long. The girl finally returned and said âthe lady in charge of your dress is on lunch but she will be back shortly and will come bring your dress.â We waited longer and one of the girls said she would go check again the status of our dress and left.
As we waited two African American ladies were entering through the little gated side door which was open and the girl said âesa puerta solo es para empleadas de la tiendaâ the ladies didnât listen because they clearly didnât speak Spanish. Once again the girl told them in a louder tone that door was only for employees in Spanish. So one of them was like are you talking to us?? And she was like yes that door is for employees only and the lady responded well you could told us in English so we could understand. They made the ladies walk all the way around and closed the little gated side door.
While we continued to wait for them to come. A group of three came to the little gated side door and asked if we could open for them. My husband responded â we donât work here but the employees asked another group of people to walk all the way aroundâ one of the girls scoffed and opened the door for them to come in.    Read morePart 2 Finally, after two hours a women comes for the fitting and to our surprise she showed up with a small piece of cloth for the top of the dress!! We really waited 2 HOURS for a piece of cloth?! Our understanding was that we would have the bottom part of the dress for the fitting so they could make sure it fit from top to bottom and then in April return for the final fitting and take the dress. It took them a month to cut a piece of fabric to build a top?! Then the lady who âhad just came back from lunchâ told one of the girls to start lunch breaks because she needed to go on hers soon. Hadnât she just return from her lunch which is why we waited so long? Or was that just a lie to stall for her to cut a piece of fabric to shut us up?!?
Doesnât end there! The lady then asked us what the dress looked like?!? How do you not know âwhat the dress youâre makingâ looks like?!? I clearly donât work here but Iâm pretty sure writing down the dress we want you to make was the most important part of the contract?!? Then after she was done fitting the piece of cloth for the top, she was like ok thatâs all. We just need a $200 deposit. We were like sorry but we donât feel comfortable leaving you another $200 when it clearly seems like you guys donât have a clue what youâre doing here. We left another $100 just make sure we were also doing our part but paying for more than half the dress while everything seemed like a bad joke just didnât make sense. The lady reassured us that everything was going according to schedule and that next month we would be able to pick up the dress.
However, the day after the fitting I receive a call from the lady who did the fitting who seemed to be the manager. She said she was cancelling our contract because we were ârude to her staffâ . I truly believe they just cancelled our contract to cover their butts because they wouldnât have it ready on time since it took them one month to cut the top fabric. I ordered a dress here in January and was said to arrive late march or early April when I called to ask in April the dress hadnât even been ordered. When I would call the lady would say she was very busy and would return my call but she never would. When she did answer she said that I had to pay half the dress for it to have been ordered. But the guy who helped me had never said that, he only said to leave a deposit. So I trusted her and paid half. She said the dress would get here in a month so I trusted her and waited. I called her and she acted like she didnât know who I was and didnât know the dress I ordered. The lady and her son lied to me multiple times saying the dress had got there already and it never did and they both blamed each other for the miscommunication. I ended up calling the lady and we were arguing she said she wasnât going to give me my money back and I threatened to call the police and she said the contract backed her up when we never had one. She only gave me a receipt. SIX MONTHS passed and the lady said my dress was there so I went and there was no dress I asked for my money back and her son gave it back. After I had threatened to sue her on the phone. It was just such a nightmare and ruined everything now I have to find a Quinceanera dress and my event is in 3 months.
