Simple Discount Furniture — Local services in Huntington Park

This is the worst furniture store. I was previously homeless and was working with PATH to secure housing. After getting my apt I needed to furnish it as I had nothing. PATH said they would help me furnish it with $1,600 budget but unfortunately I could only purchase at "Simple Discount Furniture". I was given a list of everything at their store with prices. I noticed immediately how high their prices were compared to Walmart with not near the selection and later found out quality. Because of their high prices I could only get a futon, (1) end table, toaster, 32" TV, a very small table with 3 chairs, (3) pots & pans, refrigerator, and a dresser which came to $1,600. I could have gotten twice as much at Walmart and better quality I found out after it was delivered. The futon leg broke the first week and I requested they replace it with a full mattress and bedframe since I was going to use the futon to sleep on. The mattress is so thin and you can fill the metal inside just when u sit on it. The bed frame is just made out of metal and very cheap. The end table and dresser are made out of that cheap material not wood. The dresser is very small. The table is very cheap metal and not level. One of the chair legs bent 32 days after delivery and they wouldn't exchange it because it was two days beyond the 30 day warranty. Had to toss it. The microwave is so small u can barely fit a dinner plate in it. The pots & pans I would hope would be non stick but they aren't and everything sticks and burns. The refrigerator is nothing to write home about just a standard small apt size. All I can say is someone in upper management at PATH must have some affiliation with this company and is making money by only allowing the items to be purchased their. I could have furnished my entire apt with much better quality and choices if I had gone to Walmart. Simple Discount furniture...

Horrible experience. I went and purchased a bed that I had called to make sure it was in stock. A few hours after we paid and left we were told that the bed wasn’t in stock and we’d have to choose a different one. The man sent a few pictures and asked us to choose. Once the new bed was delivered it was SO UGLY and did NOT look anything like the picture that was sent. I called and asked if i could exchange the bed because it looks so bad and was told theres nothing they can do. DO...

Failed to deliver my order at the scheduled time. Then expect me to reschedule the day that works best for them rather then the day that works best for me . Took no accountability for the fact that never returned or answered my phone call to confirm my order and delivery date. I don’t recommend this...
