I wish I could give a rating of ZERO to this place!! I am absolutely DISGUSTED in how we were treated!!! My husband purchased a birthday gift for me, and left it at customer service, to be wrapped.. When I unwrapped it, we found that some of the items (over $100) were MISSING! My husband then, went back in to ask them where the items were. The manager was called, as well as the nice lady, that processed and bagged the items. She backed us, by CLEARLY stating that she bagged the items together, in the same bag my husband dropped off. We pleaded with them, to go back and watch the video, to see for themselves. They proceeded to argue with us, stating that they SAW my husband walk out with a small bag, and that they trust the girls behind the customer service wall, over us!! If they would've just listened/watched that video, they would've seen that my husband made a purchase at the cologne counter, prior to that! THAT is the smaller bag he walked away with!! We have the receipts to prove it! The manager assured us, they would review surveillance video, to confirm that my husband did in fact, go straight from making his purchase at the counter, and immediately went to customer service to have it wrapped. There was no way, those items left that bag, between the short walk between the 2 counters! The manager(Aghir) told us to come back in the morning, and although it was his scheduled day off, he would come in and personally ensure we were taken care of. We are from out of state, so we had to book a hotel room, to do so. He asked us to take a "walk" with him, away from the customer service counter, because he didn't want the girls to hear him telling us, they SUSPECTED SOMEONE BACK THERE MAY BE STEALING!!! When we arrived the next morning, the girl behind the customer service wall wouldn't even come out and greet us, or let us know the manager was on his way.. We could only hear her paging him from behind the wall, & telling him over the phone "It's the customers from last night.". When the manager (Jose) arrived, he didn't care to hear anything we had to say. He only made sure to tell us, that there are "TWO girls back here, who saw the same thing! They BOTH say there were no other items in the bag! I trust them!! Is there anything else I can 'help' you with??" And he proceeded to walk away from us! We called a police officer over, who told us it was a CIVIL matter, NOT criminal.. So, we would have to take it to small claims!! They then, had that same officer escort us out of the store, with the manager telling him "Get rid of them." The amount of disrespect and embarrassment we experienced that day, as a result of their negligence, cannot be expressed in words!! So.. Needless to say, we will NEVER shop at that location again. We were robbed by A DISHONEST THIEF of an employee behind that counter, & my birthday gift was RUINED!!! And there's absolutely NOTHING we can do about it..
UPDATE! This review was not intended to bash Dillard's, the COMPANY. We have ALWAYS loved shopping at Dillard's, which is why we were so floored by the management of this particular location.. My husband called the corporate number, and was able to speak to David Gamez. I would give this man a 5 STAR RATING for his PROFESSIONALISM, PROMPTNESS, & RESPECTFULNESS in handling this whole ordeal, and making sure to get us taken care of, the very same day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ THANK...
Read moreBeware of buying Dillard's gift cards!!! I was given a $200 gift card last Christmas, which has spent the last year safely in a drawer. I recently tried to use the Dillard's gift card to purchase boots at Hurst Dillard's, which is also where the gift card was purchased. The helpful sales associate, Ada, peeled off the security sticker to access the card's security code, entered the information into their system, and then informed me that the card had a $0 balance. She then called her department manager, Stephanie, who pulled up the available information for the gift card's history. The history showed the $200 on the card had been used in the Sugerland Dillard's on 10/19/2024. I assured her that purchase was not mine and that i could provide a hotel receipt from New Mexico which is where i was on vacation on 10/19/2023. She graciously gave me all the transaction information and encouraged me to contact the Sugerland store manager who might be able to help me as the fraudulent use of the Dillard's gift card had taken place in the Sugerland Dillard's store. She very nicely told me there was nothing else she could do to help me in the Hurst Dillard's. Be aware of this if you are buying Dillard's gift cards. The security code sticker was in place on this card, the original purchase receipt from 12/23/2023 was with the gift card and the card had been in a drawer in my home, and somehow it was used for a purchase at Dillard's by a thief at the Sugerland Dillard's. I went online to find Dillard's contact information and typed all the information into their chat feature, which was the contact information I could find. The chat representative informed me that I would need to contact their customer service phone line as chat can't help with gift card issues. I called the number given and spoke with the Dillard's representative, Angel. After speaking with her manager, Angel returned to tell me I should be able to go to any Dillard's customer service counter and I would be issued another gift card with the $200 returned that had been stolen. I returned to Hurst Dillard's yesterday and was told by the store manager, Israel that there was no money, no record of the service center call and that he "couldn't do anything for me and what else did I want him to say?" "You can contact the Dillard's Sugerland manager if you want, and maybe they have a camera that could show something, but that's up to you. There's really nothing I can do." Buyer Beware of potential fraud with Dillard's gift cards. My experience tells me that you should give your loved one cash directly or let Dillard's give your money...
Read moreDillards has always been my favorite place to shop since the 1980s. That is until now. I bought a mother of the bride dress at the Willowbend Mall Dillards. The ladies who work there were amazing. They were helpful, personable, they even offered kind encouragement and made my dress shopping experience delightful. I bought 2 dresses to take home and decide if they would be keepers. When I got home I tried on one dress and did not touch the second dress, simply hung it up to view for my consideration. I decided neither dress was for me. The very next day I took the dresses to return to my "neighborhood" Dillards at the Northeast Mall in Hurst. The sales girl looked the dresses over very carefully and found a flaw, a pulled thread that made the fabric bunch up on the hem one of the dresses, the one I didn't try on at home, it was untouched once it left the Willowbend Dillards. She called her manager and they both decided it was un-returnable at their store. It was untouched. It was obviously never worn, had been purchased less than 24 hours before and the manager of the dress department would not even consider the flaw was something that may have already existed on the dress. She did not offer any solutions or escalate the return to a manager above her. She did not want to make the situation right or try to assist me as a customer in any way except to tell me no, they would not take it back. No apologies, she didn't try to fix the flaw, no customer appreciation just simple and rude and lack of courtesy or customer service. I will not return to that dress department. I ended up taking the dresses back to Willowbend Mall where another polite and courteous sales lady happily returned the dresses and wished me a beautiful afternoon. This took an extra 2 hours out of my busy day, however. My recommendation is go to Willowbend Mall Dillards for your dresses, ladies! Do not waste your time at the Northeast Mall Dillards dress department because they don't care to please their customers nor do they care if their customers return. I am so disappointed in the management of that Dillards, especially in the...
