The Caramel Tree — Local services in Idaho Falls

I was visiting a friend in Idaho Falls and she took me to the Caramel Tree. I love caramels but these are better than most. The caramel is soft but not runny and doesn't stick to your teeth. I picked out a couple of caramel squares (pure caramel, nothing else...not chocolate covered) and the employee helping us told me she had some very fresh ones in the back and proceeded to bring out a handful of made-this morning caramels for me! I also bought Rice Krispy treat dipped in caramel and drizzled with white chocolate (amazing!), a pecan log (to DIE for!), caramel dipped chocolate covered pretzels (I just couldn't get enough of this one!), and Rice Krispy square dipped in caramel, peanut butter and chocolate (incredible). My total for all these delights was just over $10. I couldn't believe the quality and the low price. And the employees were helpful and friendly and had great recommendations. I give this place FIVE STARS and recommend it highly for inexpensive but high-quality...

It’s been about a yr since I last visited the caramel tree and recently went back twice. I got some rice krsipsies and an apple. The caramel was super super hard to bite into so I thought maybe I just got a bad bath but recently tired to Oreo ones as a Mother’s Day gift but and again the caramel was super hard to bite into. I finally out of a knife to break off a piece to enjoy but unfortunate the caramel was incredibly hard! Definitely not the same that I tried a yr or two ago when it was super soft and chewy. Unsure if I just got an old batch or if the recipe is different! I usually love this place but kinda sad the last two times I tried...
