Fleet Reserve — Local services in Imperial Beach

I've been here a half dozen times over the years. It's a nice crowd. Fun and laughter fill the place. I've gone mostly for breakfast on Sundays. But I've taken dates there twice. We always had fun and the people there on the weekend nights were party happy. I saw the review from the out of towner who said he left without a drink or lunch. Not sure what happened but as a bar manager myself I drill into my bartenders that the patron always gets an acknowledgement when they walk in the door. If they are busy doing something they let the patron know they will be right there or stop what they are doing and greet or serve them. I can't imagine a bartender in a vet org not doing it. Walked in. Wasn’t busy. Lady came out of kitchen to ask if I was having lunch. I said yes. She left me a menu and said she would return. The problem was the bartender. I sat there for about 10 minutes. She never acknowledged me or asked if I wanted something to drink. She just stood there. I am member of vfw legion and FRAnin Norfolk Va. First time I have ever been to the Fleet Reserve and I found it an awesome place it's not really big it's just right I have multiple tables I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich the service was great The Waitresses were fantastic everybody was friendly and outgoing it's just a neat place to gather to have a good meal from hamburgers to and the hamburgers from what I understand were awesome onion rings to fried onion rings awesome also another great place to gather with friends...
