Big Bob's Flooring Outlet — Local services in Independence

Let me start by saying that not everything about my experience was perfect, but with today's mass standardization of products, a company's success depends on its differentiator of customer service, and for that I give Big Bob's Outlet in Independence 5 stars.

While I had to be the one to approach the sales representative, the gentleman immediately apologized and started things off on the right foot. He was very knowledgeable about the products and provided me with an abundant discount so as to stay within my price range. After talking with the sales representative, my experience took no longer than 5 minutes.

After pick-up, and returning home, it came to my attention that they had forgotten to load one of the two end tables I had purchased, and the one they did load was damaged beyond standard repair. I called and told them about the issue(s) and they immediately took responsibility for the mishap(s), no questions asked. Not only did they replace the damaged table and provide me with the forgotten piece, but they assembled the items at the store for me.

Working customer service myself, I acknowledge that they take a great deal of pride in how they treat their customers and will be returning to Big Bob's for my furniture needs...

My fiance is pregnant and wasn't feeling too well the day we went to the store after we got our house measured. Arthur was very accommodating and understanding. He spent a great deal of time with us going through different prices and options.

He ended up showing us the perfect choice for our specific needs (we have a Yorkie that marks). We ended up going with plank vinyl that is water proof throughout the upper floor in our house, except in the bedrooms, where we kept carpet.

The pricing is very competitive and financing is available.

The installation went smoothly and was started and completed on the exact schedule that they initially gave us at the store. The installers were friendly and knowledgeable. They worked with to complete the installation, even though there were a lot of uneven spots in our sub-floor due to the house settling over time. (Home Depot had said in their quote that there were spots where plank vinyl could not be installed)

The end result looks great and we are very satisfied!

I got carpet samples from 3 local stores and bids to carpet stairs, entry area at bottom of stairs and recreation room in basement. We decided to only do the stairs as we are selling the house and decided to let the owners do the rest. Your agent, Arthur Cattey, was the only one who called me back to ask if I had made a decision (I was going to call him that day to say I was going to do it, but needed to just do the carpet. He was completely cheerful about the change and set up the carpet people who came and did the work. When we discovered we were having to also do a new subfloor in the bath and knew we couldn't match the linoleum in the kitchen, BigBob's the one I called because of the friendliness of the agent and his continued good attitude even when I had considerably changed the initial order. I know we will be doing some things to our new condo when we move in and you can be sure I will use Big Bob again. The second order for the bath is small, also, but Arthur treated me just like had ordered a huge home. He's the face of the company and he's made me a repeat customer.
