Bob's Discount Furniture and Mattress Store — Local services in Independence

My girlfriend and I have just recently moved in together. And we had just got done with a disappointing visit to Kohl’s, where they didn’t have a replacement for the pair of shorts that I would have purchased that would have been so tight that I believe that even the Olympic gymnastics competition judges would have docked me points for. We had decided to walk from there to Bob’s Discount Furniture and Mattress Store, which we honestly thought was a lot closer than it wound up being. My girlfriend will probably never let me live this down by describing it as the time that we accidentally signed up for the Boston Marathon. Though I’m sure that Boston is a lot cooler than it was that day! More squirreling to follow, promise. So there we were, tired, dehydrated, and trudging along like we just made it halfway through the Sahara Desert, when the sign for Bob’s Discount Furniture finally crested the horizon and we could see the shimmering effects of the crisp AC hitting the blazing hot atmosphere outside. Once inside, we were only able to recuperate for a few seconds before sales ninja assassin April showed up to hijack our entire Bob’s Furniture experience. I knew right away that we had found a kindred spirit in her as she able to corral us around like herded cats. In fact, I do believe that in another life, she could have possibly had a cat herding ranch, but that’s besides the point. She was able to take our wishy washy ideas on what we were actually looking for and , like Michelangelo spins his nunchucks in the face of injustice, karate chopped them into a solid, cohesive idea as to what we were actually looking for. Not gonna lie, we squirreled more times than she could blink, but she always had a comeback, namely telling me to shut my mouth, making my girlfriend laugh so hard that I could imagine that milk would have squirted from her nose if she were drinking any. Ahhh, the sounds of home life… LoL. She aligned herself with the known alpha in the relationship, my girlfriend. Smart move, as I would have had us squirreling around for many more moons. Through the plethora of mental acrobats, verbal ninjutsu, deadpan humor, and otherworldly patience, we were able to find multiple pieces of furniture that fit our personality and budgetary requirements. This was the most fun I experienced while shopping, let alone shopping for furniture. For that, I will have to bow down to my new sensei, April, as the master of making furniture shopping fun. Until our next sparring session, I will be training so that one day this student will become the master of making...

You guys I have some wise advice for you all who go through this place to get any sort of furniture. Don’t ever go through this place to get furniture if you don’t wanna get ripped off out your own money that could possibly go towards a better place or find better use like paying bills because I am currently having to file a lawsuit against them and the financial place that they are through along with rent A center and by the way my grandmother at 80 years of age wound up with bedbugs because of them and had to get rid of a lot of stuff including stuff that her mother and father passed down to her and shortly after she experienced that with them she passed away from natural causes along with having curvature of the spine on top of that. Will literally lie to your face switching up story to story and they will also try to sweet talk you into buy anything from them even making payments on anything of theirs and than turn around and try to make you believe that they have better deals than any other place that has furniture and trust me it’s not worth any of their time after you guys read this review and hopefully you guys will take heed to I’m saying right now as I write this review as well because due to what they’re doing to me and my soon to be wife we are literally about to wind up homeless because of this place and what they’re currently doing to us...

We browsed a few weeks ago and explained we weren’t ready to make a purchase yet. We learned that sectionals are modular, so we could customize to fit our space. This was great news! We returned home to measure our space, and browsed the options we liked online to see what would fit our needs best.

When we returned, we met Kelly. Kelly was friendly, approachable, and professional. We explained our needs to her, she took time to thoroughly inform us of protection plans. She let us take our time to compare the two we narrowed down, and helped us finalize our decision with our reclining sectional purchase. We are very pleased with how everything went! We were pleasantly surprised to learn that our sectional could be delivered within the week, we were expecting longer. We verified our measurements, ordered the pieces we needed for our space, and were on our way.

We received follow updates on our purchase all the way through point of delivery. Our sectional arrived on time, and our delivery crew did a great job with assembly and care of our home to ensure nothing was damaged. They tested the mechanics to ensure everything was functioning properly.
