Indian Harbor Beach Club — Local services in Indian Harbour Beach

My husband and I have been visiting the Melboure Beach area for 13 years and this was our first stay at the Indian Harbor Beach Club. Upon entering condo, we first thought the living room furniture was a bit dated, and then we stepped out onto the balcony and said, "this is what we're here for" and totally forgot about the furniture, it just wasn't important anymore. You cannot get any closer to the ocean, and the heated pool sits between your balcony and the ocean, and every condo faces the ocean. We spent most of our time in the pool while gazing at the crashing waves with the ocean right next to us. And the condo had everything we needed including 3 different coffee makers, a blender, dishes, every utensil you could think of, pots, pans, etc. There was a minor glitch when we first arrived after hours because there wasn't a key waiting for us but we called the number posted outside the office and Cindy was there within minutes and greeted us with a smile and a key. I can't say enough good things about the staff, Cindy and Wendy, who were very friendly and helpful. Cindy and Wendy are awesome! We had the best vacation we've had in all those years and decided to book again for next year! We cannot wait and we will certainly recommend IHBC to anyone who is visiting the area. My sister and I were renting a condo last week for about four days. A day before we were supposed to check out, one of the toilets broke down and nothing could flush. This was around 5pm. We called management, I believe the lady by the name of Lynn (or Vicky?). She told us that it wasn't an emergency and that the maintenance guy had already gone home for the day. So basically we all (six of us) had to share the master bathroom toilet inhabited by a couple that wanted their privacy. But it wasn't so much an issue but when she got smart with me via text, I decided to send a review. Quote from this manager after I dared to ask her as to why there was not a 24 hr maintenance employee on site: "There are two bathrooms in every condo. It is not like there is no bathroom available. Would you like to unclog toilets on your off time? I told her (your sister) we would have someone there in the morning to unclog toilet...." I LOVE Florida...but people like this as "management" really help give it a bad name. There was no need to act that stupid and ignorant over a mild complaint by a guest who really didn't want to use her sister's and husband's toilet along with three kids who had to do number 2 TOO! A WORD OF ADVICE: 24 HOUR MAINTENANCE as most concierge/hotels/time...

Great two bedroom, two bath condos right on the beach. I mean RIGHT ON THE BEACH. One of the bedrooms opens directly onto the balcony and ocean. While the facility is older, most of the units have been remodeled and are very nice. Every one we have stayed in has nice furniture, large flat screen TVs and cable. They are stocked with dishes, silverware, cookware, towels, bedding and have a washer and dryer. Free wi-fi is also available. There is a communal grill if you want to cook out. The staff is friendly and accommodating and respond quickly to any questions or concerns you have. The balconies overlooking the ocean are spacious and private. Each unit has a parking space and there is an elevator. We never wanted to leave. Relaxing on the balcony, feeling the ocean breeze, watching and hearing the ocean roll in and out is mesmerizing and relaxing. Or take a few steps down and walk along the beach or hang out by the pool. Downsides. Very few I can think of. Wish they allowed pets. If they did, we'd probably rent a unit for a month or more.
