Nice selection of clothing for the larger fellas! I even saw some things that I liked as a woman. My first visit was on 6/5/23. I didn't know this place existed. I actually ordered something online. I went to pick it up on my lunch break. Unfortunately, I experienced poor customer service with the young lady with dreads at the counter. I got in line to pick up my online order. I had called the store 10 minutes prior to my arrival. She was slightly helpful over the phone, although she was in a rush. I understood that. Retail life is fast paced and busy. Perhaps there were customers in store- so a clerk would not have all day to speak with someone over the phone. UNDERSTOOD. When I entered the store I walked up to the counter behind another customer that was in front of me. The employee asked me did I need something- with a condescending tone. I am not sure about anyone else, but I don't know many people that stand in a line at the customer service desk unless you need assistance/help. What else would I be there for? perhaps its just me? shrugs I responded yes, I need help. Then she proceeded to assist someone else. While she assisted the person who approached the counter after me, I noticed my item on the counter (as I called prior to arriving) so I asked is it okay if I take my order or do I need to sign anything? I had already purchased my items. Then she said, oh I didn't know this was yours. I thought to myself nor were you trying to find out! I signed for my items and left the store. Read moreHello Tiffany C. I'm that lady that was Christmas shopping that day.I felt so humiliated/ mistreated . My whole day was messed up due to this lady treating us as if we were living back in those days.When she told us this is her place of business and Tiffany you told her that your shopping at her place of business and she came out and said that you can go somewhere else I was to done/heated!! After you left Tiffany she was on the phone with someone telling them something different. I wanted to say something so bad it took all of me to not say anything. I just wanted to get my gift and go. I come here often and have never been treated like an animal. I will say the cashier that rang me up was so helpful and very pleasant. He made me feel somewhat better. The whole time the lady kept following me around as well as looking at me. I thought she was going to ask me if I needed any help or something. Basically the whole time I was there she was trying to see if we were going to steal, when I had money. Sorry stealing is not in my blood, my mom didn't raise no thief. The checkout process was interesting. I don’t like plastic bags, so I said, “No bag, please.”
The cashier said, “I’m going to put it in a bag.”
I asked, “Is it a plastic bag?” And she confirmed it was.
I told her I would prefer not using one to which she responded, “I need to put it in a bag.”
I said, “You needing to put them in a plastic bag different than you disregarding my request.”
She ignored me until she was done bagging it up and then told us to have a nice day.
I think she was acceptable otherwise, but it felt like she wasn’t being customer-focused by denying my request with no explanation. I hope she can trust customers in the future to explain her actions if there is some company requirement to bagging items.
And I hope a requirement to bag items can be foregone when my wife was clearly holding a bag that could fit...
