I would unfortunately have to give 0 stars if there was such thing. My friend crossed over the line of the lane a few times unknowingly and the security guard told us we had to leave because we were warned for him not to cross the line through the intercom. He did not warn us at all even though he claims he did. We were not aware because it was galaxy night with all the loud music blasting everywhere and the amount of enjoyment we had spending time together.
We asked the manager politely why she didn't send anyone to tell us directly but she refused to tell us and kicked us out forcefully. The workers were willing to give a chance and were respectful towards us but then the manager came with a horrible attitude and told us to leave. We tried to ask for a partial refund because of the short amount of time we had but she walked away, even when the workers were telling her to come talk to us about it.
That's not all. We were leaving the parking lot and the security guard took out his phone and began taping our license plate numbers and stuff which was very awkward.
We were all under confusion and frustration for this incident because we never had a problem at this place. We were bowling the same way we always have and it was shocking to see how we were treated for making a small mistake. We all as a friend group we're having fun having a nice simple game of bowling, yet felt really disrespected. It was one awful experience we are not willing...
Read moreI was here for yet another kids' B-day party, and this is a very cool family venue if you're into bowling. It has all the modern amenities with electric pop-up bumpers, and lots of screens for both keeping score (also electronic and automated) as well as screens for watching whatever sport is being shown.
They do catering here in the form of pizza parties that include different chips and dips, several types of drinks, and snacks. If that's not to your liking, they have a small food area where many other items can be had for a decent price. They don't rake you over the coals for food here, which makes it a superlative service. Not to be forgotten is a full service bar if soft drinks are not on your menu. They will even serve pitchers of beer directly to your lane, as long as you have ID.
The staff are mostly young people, but their professionalism and attention to detail are more than commendable. They stay on top of making sure you get good service, and they keep things clean.
The only thing missing is the room of standard arcade games, but then maybe I missed it, or it's just not a profitable use of space anymore.
Anyway, if you're in the area and looking for some down to earth fun entertainment, then you can't go wrong with a visit to...
Read moreMy workplace had our Christmas party here last night. There was easily 300+ people in the bowling alley, which most people were from separate big parties. On a Friday night and knowing there was several big parties scheduled, they should have been ready for it.
The bar had a line of 20-30 people waiting for drinks the entire night. It was a 20-30 minute wait everytime we went to the bar which wasted our bowling time. The bartender did her best but obviously couldn't keep up with the crowd (not her fault). Meanwhile the "manager" aka stupervisor was standing at the front desk, relaxing and talking with other employees. WORST MANAGER EVER. Any real manager would see the bar was way behind and jump in to help, but this lazy prick wanted to small talk with his employees at the front desk instead.
If Irvine Lanes had good service in mind, they'd have more than 1 bartender on a Friday night. This place is seriously a joke! I'll never again host a company or personal party at this place again. Linbrook Lanes is smart enough to have multiple bartenders on busy nights. Don't waste your time coming here if you want to have some cocktails while bowling, you'll spend more time waiting for a drink than...
