Bigdash Irving — Restaurant in Irving

My coworker told me about this place and said that their desserts are very good, so I decided to come here last night after work to try their ice cream. I was excited especially after seeing the variety of tasty looking treats that they had until the guy who took my order gave me a poor customer experience when I asked about their ice cream he kept insisting that I buy the strawberry cup that was already made on the counter. I didn't really want it especially after seeing that it wasn't cold because I wanted a cold dessert or ice cream. When I asked him what's inside he just kept saying trust me you will like it so I said ok. I also ordered another dessert that was a pudding with shaved almonds on top. when he went to get it a crowd came in and he started serving them and totally forgot about me, I had to go over to the other side to ask him about my desert which he gave me another desert because he forgot what I ordered. also there was no friendly welcome from any of the staff at all. no smiles, hello, or welcome to bigdash. after leaving a tasting the popular strawberry cup I did not like it because of the sweet crunchy things inside of the cream and there was very little cream drizzled inside however the pudding cup was delicious. In my opinion, the strawberry cup is over priced for what you get. Overall my experience wasn't good and I'm not sure if I will give it another try. I would like to say to the owner make sure that your staff are friendly to all customers no matter their race because you never know who will come to your place of business expecting great service and a great customer experience and word of mouth gets around. Everything was wonderful until the Knafa I paid for was left on the counter while we were waiting for them to bring it out. They had brought it out on a plate for this couple who looked wealthy. It looked fresh and crunchy. My buddy and I waited 25 min for the knafa and when we finally asked someone about it. I showed them my number, they looked on the counter at a to-go bag that was open and had been sitting there for a while and handed it to me. They handed me a cold, old and soft Red Knafa which made me upset cause I had been speaking so highly of this treat and been patient. I brought it up to Rubi, the manager and she said they would take care of it… by taking care of it, she sent a worker to reheat it in the microwave… it was even more soft now and there was no cheese pull. I had asked for a refund originally but Rubi had made it sound like they were going to make a new one. Instead, they microwaved an old and soggy one. It was also so dirty everywhere, tables with no one in them for a long time were left with sticky melted ice cream spots and trash that needed to be thrown out. The stretchy ice cream was the only really “wow” part, but I regret tipping well for service that was awful. Also for pricing like that, you gotta serve the Knafa fresh and on a plate to EVERYONE! Not just people with Gucci bags and Burberry scarfs.

Wanted to give this place a second chance and I regret every penny I spent. Things just didn’t taste correct and the service was just as bad if not worse than before. Things don’t taste the way they are supposed to and person helping us just kept getting things wrong and wasn’t very good at listening. -10/10 don’t waste a dime at this place. Let me start off by saying their sweets are great but the customer service I received was absolutely terrible I spend almost $150 for the sweets When we came in we were the only ones there , we were not greeted, the middle aged Egyptian woman with tattoos on her wrist/hand was rolling her eyes the second we walked in , I was getting multiples 5-10 pieces of everything they pretty much had displayed. She kept acting like I was bothering her even though they just opened an hour prior to me arriving , it got to the point that I didn’t wanna get anymore stuff just because of her horrible behavior and rudeness . I asked about one specific kind of sweets and right away she said no we don’t have any , thanks god for another young boy was passing by and said we have some in the back let me bring it for you , , and she mumbled something under her breath. When I got tired of her attitude and said that’s all she was even more mad that the young man brought the sweets from the back for me I went up to pay, she decided to pick up a call and just stood there not trying to make eye contact with me and didn’t care I was standing there waiting for her to pack in bags my items and pay , thanks god again for the young gentleman that I think was Hispanic he ran up and started packing my stuff in hand and ringing me up , safe to say it she was a normal person with some kind of customer service I would have spend double if not triple the amount that I did , but I just didn’t want to deal with her anymore and went to get more stuff from a different bakery , the young gentleman should get a raise for such a great customer service and how polite and...
