So I put a review on and it was deleted. I went to this restaurant this morning.Ordered a hash bowl, which came with potatoes, bacon,cheese and two over easy eggs on top. The food was brought to me.The bacon, cheese and potatoes were so burnt they stuck to each other. I did eat the eggs on top because those were edible.But I sent the rest of the food back after complaining how BURNT everything was. I kept the toast and ordered a bowl of grits. When my check came, the original order was still on the tab, and I told the server to call the manager, that I was not going to pay for burnt food. It took forever for him to come to the table. And when he did, he had the nastiest attitude. Telling me you pretty much ate everything and I'm like, dude. I ate the eggs because those were okay. The rest of the food was BURNT and I was not going to pay for burnt food. So basically, smart mouth little dude manager was trying to say that I was trying to eat for free. I told him I would pay for the eggs, the grits, the toast and the six dollar specialty drink that I ordered, and that was it. He was just so nasty. Next time I will take my money to Metro. Why would you even send food out of the kitchen that is totally burnt. The eggs hid the burnt food. I hate sending food back but it was so bad. The manager saw how burnt the food was and still had an attitude....

I mentioned this to the hostess who told me "there's our manager so you can tell him" while pointing at him across the room. So I had to follow the manager to get his attention...I pointed out my incorrect order and he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of additional. Matter of fact when he came back with the proper order, he stated that I selected the wrong option in the app (my receipt showed otherwise-I selected pickup) and he was saying that because I didn't TYPE IN my name as pickup that it was wrong and that's why. I'm sorry the order NEVER changed so even if I did that it shouldn't have been wrong still. Also having to TYPE my own name in as pickup is not common sense for a PICKUP/TO GO section of an app. That sounds like a corporate issue and I don't appreciate the fact that he insinuated that it was my fault my order was wrong. In addition to that the blonde hostess was very rude to both the manager and not very pleasant to customers - she didn't appear friendly AT ALL and openly argued with the manager about his policies. Debating on going back, would be unfortunate because the food is usually great and the service last time was good but this experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just walked out of your Roosevelt Blvd location for the last time. There's a long line of people waiting to get seated and 2/3 of the outside and inside seating areas are empty. One of the waitresses looked like she was going to cry because she was so stressed out by the situation. Why? Who manages this place? Long lines to pay (here's a hint: have the waitstaff take care of it if you can't assign a hostess to seat customers and take money.). And don't give us this "we can't hire enough people" excuse. I was unemployed in July for 7.5 months and couldn't find a job anywhere...ANYWHERE.. until February. People want to work. You just don't want to hire more people. It has only gotten worse over time. The disorganization and lack of management are not isolated to just this location. It doesn't matter where you visit First Watch it's the same thing. Disorganized and mismanaged. Why?
