Kernan Village — Local services in Jacksonville

Purposely went late in the afternoon, as I figured lunch would possibly be much more busy? Well, kudos to the chef, my food was good, but DON'T get it twisted! MOST men go to these types of establishments for the "stress relief" sporting activities and the "eye candy"! (Hooters, Tilted Kilt, and Twin Peaks alike) Sorry, I know I'm guilty... So, there should have been NO reason for the employees who were there, to "sit around and basically ignore me (before I had food, during, and after I got my meal)." MY waitress vanished, and all others were just congregating at "ONE" table. The ONLY employees I saw working were bartenders. Obviously, someone has to pour drinks.... There is always more focus, in the unnecessary, rather than the actual "job" one signs up for. Best of Luck, to All.... I won't go...

Ilene, gave great service and was very patient with us as we decided on all our menu choices. The food, well let's just say not all of it really met our expectations. My appetizer was the queso dip and chips, some chips didnt have any salt on them while other had way to much. The smokehouse burger I order was indeed delicious, my only issue with that is I recieved fries instead of my Salad. Also order was the Monte Cristo a success with the exception of the chosen side of red beans and rice that was ridiculously salty. The kids fried shrimp was a hit and the grilled chicken pecan salad, she ate a little and left the rest especially getting to the huge piece of the lettuce bud in my sister's bowl not to mention the chicken wasn't all that fresh.
