I typically order on the app and walk in to pick up my smoothie. I stopped going to this location after they got my regular order incorrect three times in a row. The first two times I just dealt with it, but the third time I decided to go back inside and ask them to remake it.... I pay extra for an add-in and I also tip in advance via the app and had done this each of the three times it was incorrect. I went in with a smile on my face and politely explained the error to two young women working there. One of them tried to tell me the order was correct even though I explained to her again that it was not - I only order one type of smoothie and I know exactly how it should taste. I told her I understood it was a special order and might be confusing. I showed her the sticker on the drink and explained what went wrong with the order twice while she rolled her eyes to the other young woman. When she saw I would not back down about it, she snatched the smoothie from my hands and stomped away and did not speak another word to me. It felt like this was my teenage daughter and I had just told her to clean her room. They made me wait more than 15 minutes for the correct smoothie even though it was 3 in the afternoon and the place was not crowded. It was given to me by the second young woman who was visibly shaking and looked terrified as I thanked her and said I appreciated her help. I was totally bewildered by their reactions/attitudes - the general vibe from these girls was I was extraordinarily unreasonable even though I went out of my way to be nice about it. It was such an uncomfortable experience that I stopped going to this location and started going five miles out of my way to the Hodges location which has always gotten my order correct, and where I have been greeted cheerfully and treated with respect every time I go in there. I would love for the Atlantic location to train their employees to read the orders in detail and maybe reassure them it's okay to make a mistake so long as they correct it and are polite to the customers. It's right on my way home from work so maybe I will wait a few months...

I usually go through the drive thru but on this particular day, I decided to go inside. To my surprise, as I waited for my smoothie to be made, I witnessed a Tropical Smoothie associate take, what looked to be like an old filthy pump bottle from a garage or something, over to a sink area that had a sign placed above it stating "HAND WASH ONLY'. The associate proceeded to fill up this gallon sized container that had a pump at the top it. Once filled up, she sets this disgusting bacteria filled plastic container on the smoothie counter and then another associate comes over to pump and squirt some contaminated hand wash only tap water into the famous Tropical Smoothie foam cup, in preparation to make a smoothie. I was literally jaw-dropped. I witnessed this with my own eyes and the associates working there were not even hiding the fact that they were filling up a dirty and disgusting contaminated plastic container jug with filthy "HAND WASH ONLY' water from a small sink. I almost threw up after witnessing this. I could literally see the dirt on the bottle, so I made sure I took a picture to share with my fellow humans. Tropical Smoothie, please correct this immediately!
Tropical Smoothie Cafe's website states: "Our commitment to responsibly sourced, safe and quality ingredients means more than just delicious food and smoothies; it means we can Inspire Better and spread sunshine all around."
This commitment was definitely not exemplified at the TSC location on 11900 Atlantic Blvd and I will not support that type of business practice, or...
Read moreI am completely upset. I am currently in tropical smoothie (Kernan and Atlantic) at this very moment and I am so upset that I have to write this review now! I was standing in line behind an older lady and I was waiting for her to order her food. When it became time for me to step up and order I got stuck in my spot. My shoes completely stuck to the floor and I almost fell on top of the lady in front of me. Everyone else was saying how sticky the floor was. Disgusting! I spoke to GAVIN (tall, brown hair, glasses) and told him what happened. He completely ignored me the first time. I then let him know how I almost fell. I am a liver transplant patient of only 8 months and me falling on that floor would have been tragic! He then proceeded to argue back and forth with me in front of customers saying that they only handled the floor at night time. It was so embarrassing. I told him I understood that but if somebody was to fall it wouldn't be good. I asked to speak to a manager and he ignored me and walked away. I then spoke to the manager myself and he was very understanding and nice about it. It wasn't about mopping the floor (understandable) but at least making sure that noone would get hurt. I am still standing here embarrassed and upset because of how I was treated and talked to. I have never had that happen before and this was completely unacceptable. A regular paying customer should not have to go...
