Been waiting to try this place. After seeing so many reviews on YouTube. We arrived to a packed house. Went inside and the A/C appeared to be off because it was hot in the dining area. We ordered and opted to get our stuff to-go because of the uncomfortable temperature inside. The staff all seemed friendly and ordering was a cinch. Once we got our food we took it to the car and dug in. I got both original and spicy chicken to sample them both. Upon the first bite I saw that their chicken lives up to the hype. It's deliciously seasoned and very crispy without being over breaded. The original chicken is 10 out of 10 and the spicy chicken is a 9 out of 10... Oh, I'm not saying that the spicy isn't as good as the original. It's actually better, but it loses a point for not being very spicy. It's mildly spicy. I was expecting a bit of heat heat but barely got a tickle. The gravy is a 5 out of 10. Kind of sweet and lacks the salt and pepper that you expect from a gravy. I can take it or leave it. The biscuits are something special. They are kinda like the old KFC biscuits before KFC went all "zero trans fats". They're soft, buttery, moist and flaky. I could have eaten half a dozen with honey. Definitely 10 out of 10. The Jolly spaghetti is a 7.5 out of 10. I would have it again because of the unique flavors. I like it. The adobo rice is a 6 out of 10. It's nothing special but it's okay. We got both types of pies for dessert. The peach mango is easily a 10 out of 10. It's simply amazing. The ube pie was also good but not on the same level as the peach mango. I still give it 8 out of 10. When it comes to the specialty drink, we tried three different types, The pineapple quencher drink is a 10 out of 10. The strawberry Bliss freeze is a 10 out of 10 and the lychee iced tea was a 10 out of 10. All in all we really enjoyed the meal. I will definitely return to grab some chicken and try a few different items whenever I'm in...
Read moreBeing that this is a popular restaurant for the Filipino community and it's located in a highly populated Filipino area I expected there to be a wait, especially on a Saturday. But the fact that I had to wait 40 MINUTES for TWO 3 PIECE MEALS AND TWO PIES is ridiculous. A couple who ordered after us received their halo-halo before their actual food. How does that make sense? While waiting, I discovered there was a very large order before mine and others, the staff could have at least stated that when placing the order. When my buzzer went off meaning my food was ready, I went up and the lady handing my food stated the mashed potatoes I ordered with it, were not ready yet and she'll buzz us again when it's ready. The mashed potatoes itself were mushy and tasted like they came from a box which they probably were. There is definitely a lack of customer service, organization, and urgency with the staff as plenty of other customers were waiting for extended periods of time as well and there was a lot of running around by the staff to make sure orders were correct, like chickens with their heads cut off. There was no apology for the wait and a definitely lack in customer service. I've received better service from a Jollibee actually in the Philippines. As far as the chicken goes, I'm somewhat annoyed that they only serve dark meat. Flavor wise, it just tasted like it was seasoned with some salt, I'd honestly rather have Publix over Jollibee any day. I'd honestly only come back for the nostalgia of it and the Peach-Mango pie, which I really have...
Read moreAs a person who's never had Jollibee it was definitely a solid experience that I'd totally recommend. I tried a LOT of the menu just to get the full experience, since I want sure if I'd be back, then came back for breakfast and tried most of that. The customer service was extremely friendly, but it did seem a bit hectic behind the counter. The Filipino spaghetti was good, but a little odd. I've had it homemade before from a Filipino friend and I definitely liked hers better. I had both spicy and regular chickenjoy and they were pretty great, rice and gravy is always good. Chicken dippers were a little too thinly sliced for my liking; because of this they were kind of dry and tough. The adobo rice was honestly kind of lacking in flavor. Palabok had good flavor, but the sauce had a weird texture I'm not sure a lot of Americans would like, but definitely worth trying. Aloha burger was amazing, the sauce was super good! Halo Halo was super weird to me, no idea how to explain it other than that. Mango peach pies were AMAZING. When we came back for breakfast I had the Tocino (best thing on the menu in my opinion) and the garlic rice which was awesome. The corned beef was good enough, but I'd probably never get it again (again, the Tocino was just amazing). The longganisa was good, but any I've had in the past had more garlic in it, which always makes things better. We tried both Pearl drinks and I liked them a lot, only a little sweet, and...
