I entered the store with my mom to buy a shirt for a Halloween event. The moment we entered the store my mom noticed that one of the employees was following us. Some teenage boys entered and the employee said something along the lines of "Some boys came in here with bookbags we gotta watch them as well". That's when it became obvious that they were following us around the store. At one point an Asian-looking female employee came up to us and asked if we needed anything. My mom told her I was looking for a purple shirt and she said that there were none, when there were literally some purple shirts right in front of her. Then I went to get a "Nightmare Before Christmas" shirt and my mom also noticed another employee who seemed to be watching us. My mom later went up to her to ask where to pay since usually there are registers towards the men's area and the women's area. The older African American lady responded with a rude "HUH" and then pointed with an "over there" rudely. Needless to say, we felt embarrassed and humiliated and therefore got upset and left without buying anything. We have bought clothes from Kohl for years and both of my parents are rewards members and Kohl credit card holders. We went to Kohl's to spend Kohls's cash and it is simply very upsetting that this happened. The store was nearly empty and we can't help but conclude employees treating customers like this may be the reason. Also, we are Latinos and could not help noticing that these very same employees were not treating several white ladies in the store...
Read moreSo I was traveling for work in Houston and knew I got back home Sunday night but had to fly out to NYC at 5am Tuesday. I sent my better half to Khols to pick me up a pair of black and white Vans that I planned to wear in NY. Unfortunately, they were out of the popular size 9 in women's so he decided to order them in store and have them delivered to our home. They would arrive before my trip which worked for me. I can only assume that my better half did not explain he was buying them for me (a female) so Monday, before my trip I received a pair of black and white Vans in a men's size 9. I go to exchange them at the store (without the receipt might I add) however they still do not have a women's size 9 in stock. But they did have the cheaper kids size 7 in stock. The wonder associate and manager allowed me to return the wrong size and they put the money on a gift card and I was able to purchase the cheaper kids size 7 shoe. And then the associate told me to open my phone to a Khols 20% off coupon which allowed me to leave the store with an extra $20.33 on a gift card that they said was "for my inconvenience". I immediately went home and told my other half that we needed to shop at Khols more often. I know most stores have this same policy, however they treated me so kindly...I was flustered with all the errands I needed to do before my next travel and they just made this one errand super quick and easy. You gained a more...
Read moreAs I walked out of Kohlâs the manager Karen, proceeded to stop me outside and accused me of stealing a bracelet that I literally purchased right in front of her. Karen proceeded to yell at me and accuse me, when I showed Karen the receipt she looked at it and said I just wanted to make sure there was no security tag. She turned around and proceeded to walk back into Kohlâs. If you were going to check for a security tag then why didnât you? Karen was just making an excuse to cover up for accusing me of stealing. I told Karen that I will be contacting corporate over this and Karen proceeded to laugh at me. Karen is also very disrespectful and rude to her associates, thatâs what caught my attention of Karen standing by the register in the first place when I checked out. I spend way too much money at Kohlâs to be disrespected like this, Karen should be ashamed of her unprofessional behavior and I will be contacting...
