McQuade's Marketplace — Local services in Jamestown

It is one of the dirtiest groceries . Today I saw a store employee taking bags of celery out of the box they came in, then laying them on the dirty floor in a pile before putting them up on the shelves to be sold. Health violation? I hate shopping there and won't unless I am desperate. . The place is filthy and unkempt. Shameful! Floors always dirty, I saw an employee sweeping an irig inside store creating a swirl of dust going into the produce, also saw an employee with a pair of boots that had been placed up on the counter next to the check...

For the small island and town to have a full grocery store is fantastic. The hours are reasonable and the prices fair, especially given the above. They have a good selection of fresh produce, meats and other prepared food. You can find all the other dry goods you may need as well. The staff were friendly and they have had all lanes for no lines across my multiple visits so far. Couldn't be happier to have this grocery store during my long visit...

One of my favorite features of this local market is the fresh prepared meals, who needs a meal prep service when you can get it all here without the delivery and service fees. Deli/butcher always has good fresh stuff with super friendly staff.

Prices here are comparable with everything else on the island, a bit higher than average RI prices but this is also the only grocery store...
