Narragansett Cafe — Restaurant in Jamestown

Comedic train wreck of an experience. Menu posted outside promised sandwiches and burgers at reasonable prices. When we walked in at 7:45pm, on a Friday, the bartender avoided eye contact. After a few minutes a waitress told us to seat ourselves. Once seated the waitress informed us "you have ten minutes if you are ordering food." We ordered our food right away. Twenty minutes later the waitress returned to inform us they had run out of the pasta we had ordered. We ordered a cup of clam chowder instead. The waitress then returned to inform us the chowder had already been put away for the night. Food came out about 50 minutes after we initially arrived. The burger was ordered to medium well, but came out well done. The burger itself and it's chili topping were remarkably bland. The same could be said of the microwaved chowder. The waitress made an effort to explain the multiple mishaps and that the kitchen closes because of the band and dance floor. But then she continued to over explain and apologize making it an uncomfortable social situation. Once the bill finally came, it was much higher than expected, and they did not include a receipt of the items ordered. To avoid any further mind boggling negative restaurant experiences, we just...

My family and I stopped by this place this evening on 8/2/18 for the first time...we wanted another resteursnt but they were close so we said let's try it...I'm 57 and have been to many restaurants, however...this place couldn't compete with applebAppl!!!! The service was horrible, not enough manues, not enough silverware, silverware...are you kidding me. We ordered a few appitizers before the main dishes which we never ordered because the appitizers we're so bad... nachos plater was horrible, dry and nothing on them except dry cheese...chicking wings were the worst I ever had....they had one waitress who did nothing but applogiappo not only to my table but to a larger group of about ,8 people that couldn't get there order correct....they had a live band starting before we left which we wanted to hear, but we just wanted to get out of thete..the bar was probably the only good thing about this place...I would not recommend spending your money there unless you don't mind throwing it away.... sorry to say but this place was very unorganized, service was bad and the food was worst....when your in a restaurant and see multiple tables complaining...I guess there's a problem... sorry for the bad reviews but...

My review of Narragansett Cafe as a customer. Great place, great people, great food, great service, just great. Not Tony the Tiger great but actually great. The Ganny was awesome the atmosphere was such just a chill, local, welcoming, vibe. Everyone from bankers to bikers and all just having a good time. It was such an awesome break from the BS of everyday life. The Food was outstanding, as a fat guy I highly recommend the French dip! The staff was awesome, friendly, fun. We had a great time.

My reviews of Narragansett Cafe as a performer, what an awesome place to perform, there isn't a bad seat in the house, awesome stage to be on. The crowd was amazing, just a group of regular people sharing a good time and loving it.

I will be back, we will be back, the Ganny is just an all around awesome time. If you have been there pick a night, grab some friends and go and you won't be...
