Absolutely terrible. Originally, my first time here in June, I was eager and excited to arrive. They were having a great sale on boots. $120 for a pair of $180 Ariat boots. Great deal. I was offered insurance for an added $14.99. This insurance covered worked related incidents, wear and tear and other accidental issues that may occur in the daily use of these shoes. Well, I brought them back in, with receipt attached with the insurance (that explained the entire process on the brochure) on December 1st, 2024, so not even 6 months afterwards where I was greeted by a highly uneducated high schooler who had absolutely no idea with what she was doing. Where she did explain to me, that they no longer accepted and/or honored the insurance plan I purchased with them back in June. However, since this is obviously an inconvenience they said they would honor it after all. Well, after spending over 30+ minutes just wasting time waiting for a manager to educate said employee, they did not in fact honor my insurance policy and in fact tried to tell me I had to pay the $68 difference for the new boots. Which is absolutely insane. The whole entire purpose and point of buying insurance, is for when work related incidents occur you can trust in the name of the brand you purchased and you can replace said pair of boot for a low cost, thanks to the insurance. Mind you, there is a year validation on said insurance, so it’s not like you can scam the system over and over again. Well, after waiting for 45 minutes and spending an hour overall in this store, needless to say, they offered me store credit instead of a refund and simply replacing the boots with a new pair of the EXACT same boot. (They said that I had to pay the $68 difference because I bought the boots on sale, which now they are no longer on sale. Which is absolutely asinine considering it does not state in the brochure or insurance policy that you have to pay the differential fees if they no longer have the shoes on sale.. because uh.. most places would never do that)!!!!!! So with the in store credit they gave me, I decided to use on new shoes in place of the ones they refused to replace. $99.98 is what the total cost was (I paid $143 on the original date of purchase for boots, tax and the insurance.) the cashier, whom is very uneducated, then proceeded to tell me that they would not honor the remaining $30 on the gift card for in store purchasing. I then, argued that, that didn’t make any sense. In which, she called the manger for the third or fourth time, and got it approved to give me the remaining $30. Absolutely ridiculous. The first time I visited this store in June; I had issues too. But I let it go and remained optimistic. Must just be an overall competence issue within staff. I will not be a returning customer needless to say. My siblings will reuse the remaining $30 for whatever they can find. It’s so silly to me, considering they could have just honored the insurance policy that was purchased not even 6 months ago, by swapping out the boots with the exact same pair.. and simply ignore the $68 difference, by honoring the insurance. WHILE making a sale of $99.98 of which I had intended on purchasing more shoes aside from returning and/or swapping out the shoes. Which, realistically, if they would’ve swapped out the shoes (they were $120+ tax for the sale price in June, $189+ tax for the price in December) and then accepted the $99.98 purchase with my money, they wouldn’t be out much money at all. Instead, they TOOK AND THREW AWAY the holey boots we brought back to exchange, they sold us 3 pairs of shoes we paid for with their in store credit and still have $30 left…. To me and any sane person, that truly and sincerely...
Read moreI went to this store, located behind TJ Maxx, for the first time last weekend. They had a great preview sale and I wanted to take a look at their options.
My husband has very wide feet and wears a half size in shoes. Needless to say that can make finding shoes that fit difficult, and I'm happy to say Shoe Sensation carries shoe options in half sizes and Wide, 2E, 4E, and D width. They also have many name brand shoes available.
I left with my husband happy and with 2 new boxes of shoes that actually fit him. I will definitely shop here again next time he...
Read moreI have never been in a shoe store that was the most unwelcoming atmosphere. I was in there yesterday, Mon 18th. When I walked in nobody greated me. I think they were in the back. I was looking for work boots, fortunately didnt find any due to the higher cost compared to online pricing in comparison. The girl that was there, never asked for me if she could help. I am very old school, and customer service is important to me. So I left. Shoe Sensation to me was a dismal Sensation. Will never shop there again and will tell...
