Paradiso Mexican Restaurant | Jamestown — Restaurant in Jamestown

I guess I should have left reviews on other occasions because they would have been mostly 5 star reviews and I feel bad leaving only a bad review. I love Paradisos and have never had a bad meal until tonight. I ordered the chilli relano, taco, & cheese enchilada plate with green gravy. ( I have ordered this almost every time I eat there). Tonight it came and the green gravy was completely different, it wasn't even gravy, it was like the really chunky green salsa and it tasted nothing like the green gravy ive always had for years. It was very strong garlic taste and was clearly not made like it always has been. My husband said it was absolutely disgusting and I'd have to agree. My food was also not even lukewarm. The cheese enchilada didn't even have melted cheese in the middle. The Chile relleno was cold! None of us had salsa left and we couldn't get our waiter to even come back to our table to talk to him about the issues with our meal. Will I go back? Probably, because I've eaten there for years and it was great, so I hope the next time the food and service will be back to the quality of food I've had...

First of all, the ONLY reason this is getting any stars from me is because it wouldn't let me post this without some kind of star rating. Otherwise it would get zero stars.

So, we walked in and the place was unclean to say the least. Since it was after 7:30 and we had 2 kids with us, we decided to stay so they could eat. The floors were awful under the tables and on the floor in general, the wall by our table was spotted with "stuff", and after I got my wine, I looked and the glass was disgusting. I used my napkin to wipe around the edges and some glittery tan gunk came off (I'm assuming some lady's lipstick). We waited for 25 minutes after we put in our order and no food. We asked the waitress to check if they had started on it yet, and if they hadn't, to just bring us the ticket for our drinks. She came back, put the ticket on the table and said "Here you go, sorry." To say the least, we were far from impressed. Sorry, but we will never be back or recommend this...

My family and I have been here multiple times and last night (5/2/24) was the WORST experience I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life.

We sat on the bar side where our table was leveled out with a stack of napkins. Our server took 20 minutes to bring us menus and another 20 to come take our order. He never came and asked for refills, we had to track him down to order more, he didn’t clear the table of finished plates or cups.

Every time we looked at him, he was standing behind the bar on his phone. There was a total of 3 tables on the bar side. We again had to track him down to get our checks. Every time we caught his attention to come to the table he started walking away before we finished talking. It was awful. He could’ve received a $20 tip but instead made $6. Maybe he needs to learn to pay attention to guests instead of his phone. And that’s being...
