So I checked in October 20 2025, my wife joined me October 21st, this morning October 25th, my wife went to the front doors to remote start my truck for me, she passed an employee in the hall and exchanged pleasantries, at 738am my wife received a text from that employee asking her "how does an affair no strings attracted sound?" My wife assumed it was a spam bot and responded asking things like "oh?" "Whatcha want?" "Do you know who you are talking to?" Etc, the employee proceeded to tell her he was dieing to see what was under her outfit, made comments about her being bra less, her tits, ass, and body, my wife still being clueless proceeds to start sending the employee song lyrics like she's seen on TikTok, through the course of this it finally dawns on her this is a real human, thinks it's the laundry boy and asks how he got her number, he responds by saying sorry if I'm bothering you all you had to do was not answer.. she asks for a Pic to confirm who he is and he send one, then he asks if her name starts with an A, at this point she freaks out, and hits me up, I tell her she needs to pack up and get out, and we need a refund for the rest of the days we had booked, while she's doing all that he sends another 11 messages, she contacted the woman at the desk and come to find out it was her son, she told my wife she wishes my wife wouldn't of responded as if it's my wives fault my place hotels hired a kid that would go into the computer and gain access to a woman he knows was alone in a room, gathering her name, number, address, and credit card information. I've left a voicemail for corporate to call me back about this matter, and my wife asked the front desk woman to have management reach out to us, so far we've heard nothing and have not received our refund either.....if need be ill post the screenshots...
Read moreThis hotel is clean. When we arrived, the receptionist was mopping the floors. The cleaning solution used was overpowering, but we appreciated the cleanliness.
There is no breakfast included, but the room has a stove, microwave, fridge, and a toaster. There are no utensils or any cookware. Not even 1. You can buy them downstairs in the store along with breakfast or snack items or bring your own.
Our bathroom had no stopper in the sink, and unfortunately, my contact lens fell right into the hole, so bye-bye. Good thing I brought my glasses. Otherwise, I would not be seeing anything for the rest of the trip.
The windows are not insulated, so you can hear the traffic pretty loudly. We kept the TV turned on low to drown out the traffic noise.
There is a Mexican restaurant across the street, walking distance. It was ok. Good enough for grabbing something to eat.
Overall, it was clean, and while we prefer a place with breakfast, this is a good place to lay your head. If we knew to bring our own utensils and food, it would have been a...
Read moreHaving done plenty of cross country drives and stayed in more than my fair share of motels - everything from the big chains to privately owned holes in the wall - I can confidently say that My Place is miles better than the next best motel.
The price is on par with Motel 6 or Super 8, but the rooms have better amenities (kitchens with full size fridges and small appliances!) and are astonishingly clean. The lobby area has free coffee 24/7 and even a store, where you can purchase necessities, snacks, frozen meals, and even cookware if you prefer to make fresh food in your room.
There is a small additional fee for pets, but there are multiple doggy bag stations outside and plenty of well-maintained grass. I was also surprised to find an outdoor patio area with plenty of seating and a grill.
My Place feels much more like staying in a hotel than your standard budget motel experience. Big shout-out to the friendly staff too, who went above and beyond to make us and our dog...
