I had Scott’s mobile electronics LLC in Jeffersonville Indiana install a set of amp research power steps on my 2016 f350 on 12/22/2020 , I paid $1,679.90 in full. . When I picked up the truck the tuner that I have installed on the truck was not working , there was a “traction control light on and the ABS was disabled . I asked Scott to come take a look , he brought a code reader out and hooked it up to read the codes. He couldn’t pull any codes (said it was his “cheap code reader”and that the tuner was unhooked because he didn’t have a OBD2 splitter ( I would think being a “certified installer” for amp research he would have these in hand for this reason) and I would have to buy one. He told me to take the truck to his friends shop the next day @8am. Keep in mind this is on my vacation during the holidays. I get up the next day to take truck to the shop and when they try to read the codes they said their code reader could not do the job. I call Scott tand he told me to take it to another shop the next day before they opened so they could get me in and fix this issue. . I went to the shop Scott suggested, hooked up the code reader and it showed that there was a wire shorted out, stuck their head under the truck and found a wire that was cut to my abs / traction control. The way Scott installed the steps cut the abs wire to the abs/traction control The next issue is the way he ran the wires to the lights. When the steps went up they rubbed against the wires every time. He didn’t use any zip ties to hold the wires in place and one of the lights was dangling under the step where it had come off ,one barely lit and and at closer look all of the lights were coming off the truck because he installed wrong from what amp research told me. Believe it or not When I called Scott about these issues he said for me to contact amp research ...I did. I sent them pictures and let them know the issues I had with the installation of their product. They sent all new hardware and I spent 3 hours redoing his shoddy work that I paid him to do. I don’t know how he does w audio but power steps is definitely...
Read moreIt's very refreshing to have someone take the time and care to produce quality work because they genuinely care about what they do. From making the initial call to completion of the work, Scott's made it easy to get a quick appointment with honest quality work. I was able to get in within the week, a vast difference from BestBuy and work was completed within an hour and a half. That was a complete install of a new radio system that I was upgrading from the factory install that I had. Scott was honest and forthcoming in what I needed and got the job completed quickly. Everyone was super friendly and attentive to my needs. You can tell he genuinely likes what he does and cares about his business. That was refreshing considering I had dealt with a few who genuinely seem like they could care less. This guy knows what he's talking about, he's good at what he does, and he cares about his clients. He may be a bit more expensive but he cares about getting the job done correctly and treat you as more than just a number, he treats you as a paying client he would like to see come back. If you need a radio install, I would only recommend Scott 's in this area. I did my homework and I can stay with confidence that he is the only one I would even consider for an install at this point. A good guy who doesn't pressure you to buy what you don't need,, doesn't try to upsell, and gets the job done quickly and efficiently and within...
Read moreMy husband took my Jeep to have a remote start installed , I didn’t make it halfway home when my car broke down in the middle of hwy 62 in the middle of rush hour traffic in the rain , we sat for almost 3 hours , the chip in the ignition had been broken and signaled possible theft shutting the car down , then it was recommended that we call a tow truck to have it brought back ( I can only assume on my dime since they didn’t offer to call one) ..but that part was resolved they did end up towing it back . They had my car for 5 days never offered me nothing thankfully I was able to make it to work .2nd thing that rubbed me the wrong way , I too own a buisness (10 years) and the young man at the counter said that the banks charge ( depending on what card you use ) a fee … to run their cards .. $15 dollars is what we had to pay , I have never seen or heard of such a thing and I run cards everyday all day … I personally , after the way I was treated will absolutely never recommend this place and I will forsure never have them work on...
