I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with City Gear when trying to purchase a pair of men’s black Nike VaporMax for pickup. I placed my order at 10 AM, and my confirmation email said it would be ready by 1 PM. However, I never received a text or email saying my order was ready. At 1:15 PM, I called the store, and an employee told me to give them 30 more minutes. I gave them another hour just to be safe and left my house around 2:10 PM—only to find an email received at 2:05pm saying my order had been canceled due to a “missed pickup time.”
First of all, I never received a single notification that my order was ready. How can I miss a pickup time that was never even confirmed? I called again, and the same employee admitted they only had a size 10.5, not the 11 I ordered. Instead of being upfront about this earlier, they wasted hours of my time. On top of that, there was zero apology—just an offer to re-order a size I didn’t even want.
I expect better communication and basic customer service. If an order can’t be fulfilled, the customer should be notified properly—not misled with false pickup times and cancellation excuses. This was a complete waste of my time, and I won’t be ordering from...

Called the store over 5 times for each time someone hung up before even saying anything. I called customer service and got in contact with an associate named Whitney who said that it was a pair of mix-matched shoes and she marked it as picked up instead of that. I was told that I would not be charged. My bank statement shows I was charged for the shoe but I'm unable to get ahold of anyone at the store and customer service has repeatedly told me a customer service supervisor would be in contact. I have yet to hear from anyone and it's been more than a week. I would just like my refund since I did not...

I didn't want the store credit after the store had done me wrong. Was informed that it wasn't the girl fault who sold me the shoes with the wrong size, because she sells clothes on Facebook. Don't know what that has to do with anything. I returned the same day I purchased them. I am waiting on someone from corporate office to call me for a full refund. I don't want store credit. Save your time and money. Spend you're money at...
