China King — Restaurant in Jennings

Im laughing so hard where to begin? Let's start with it tasted good, vegetables were fresh and portions are packed! I got a full order of shrimp lo mein and half order of shrimp curry.

So I started with my ½ order of shrimp curry, upon opening the little box I was greeted with an overly bursting amount of onions! I mean there were so much onions my first 3 bites were nothing but onion! Finally a change! Out of nowhere carrots and green peppers started popping up, but their numbers were no match for the overabundance of onions. So I munched along painfully hoping to snag a shrimp. Well halfway through my ½ order of shrimp curry, no shrimp. Mind you im in the parking lot eating my food cause I was STARVING! I went back in and mentioned that they may have forgot my shrimp...I was told half orders come with 5 shrimp. I walked out with my tail between my legs and a bit of hope, continued to eat my onions because I had already eaten all the carrots and 90% of the bell pepper...FINALLY!! Hidden under an entire onion the shrimp started to surface! I indulged and ate 2 pieces by themselves. With so much onions left i did an onion shrimp combo. Good thing they gave me a tiny box of rice!! I poured the entire box into my now curry soup with the last piece of shrimp! It was great! So a half order of shrimp curry comes with 5 pieces of bottom dwelling shrimp, almost a whole bell pepper, half a carrot, and an ENTIRE onion! Might as well be called Chinese onion soup!

Now for the fortune cookie! It states "You will be singled out for a promotion within the month" This is where I'm laughing bout lost it...I'm a contractor running a 2 man crew with just me and my foreman...even if I were to somehow get a "promotion" iþ was spot on with me being singled out cause uh, there ain't no one else! That fortune was such a good laugh and was about as good as my Chinese onion soup! Satisfying but disappointing! As a joke I may just tape this fortune somewhere for my foreman to read...cause again...2 man contracting crew, I find this hilarious!

Haven't tried the shrimp lo mein...perhaps there will be a story on that for another time. Thanks for reading my story of a review, hope...

I wanted to order a half order of Vegetable Lomein and I asked what vegetables came on it,so the lady told me what all came in I couldn't really understand her because she was talking to fast ,plus the last part cut off so I kindly asked her if she could repeat it....So not only did she SIGH, she YELLED at me when she was repeating it a second time!!!! I looked at my phone like,"Who is she yelling at"???....,,I told her NEVERMIND, and she was like,"Nevermind what"?...I was like Nevermind about this order. First off I have patronized this restaurant PLENTY of times, so what you're not going to do is YELL at a paying customer like I'm a child...I can take my Black dollar and spend it elsewhere...THE NERVE!!!!!! I know they probably could give a Flying Fluke about losing my buisiness ,they dont care because they're going to get their money anyway but just...

Based on the location I thought the inside would look really clean ,the food would be really good and smiles and great customer service BUT INSTEAD! I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE NOR FOOD! I ordered-- 1 box/whole order of plain fried rice, light onions no bean sprouts $6.87. At the restaurant they have children taking orders and money which is an overall issue especially when they have not been taught professional customer service communication skills.. They aggressively took my money and aggressively gave me my change back! When I made it to my destination the rice contained very large onion pieces and not my requested lesser amount of onions! The rice was UNDERCOOK & HAD NO FLAVOR! I had to cook it myself and add to it in order to somewhat enjoy it. This was my first time at this location and...
