Always over a 25-minute wait on anything. Terrible service here I waited in the Drive thur -for so long for a bag of Ice because they wasn't taking walk-up orders so I waited 20 min for a bag of watered-down ice. The District Manager should be ashamed, If this were further out in the County of Saint Louis, this would not be a problem at all. The workers eat behind the counter in plain sight of the customers and she was taking orders too I will never visit here again Ever.
Updated 04/19/24 I don't understand why corporate will not get this store together. It never fails when you go to this particular restaurant it is always something. I pulled up to buy a bag of ice the young lady told me they were not accepting orders at this time. It was a worker sitting outside stating that he was off so therefore don't ask him anything I just wanted to know why they weren't taking orders today and he said they were waiting for people to get to work. This is unacceptable and we keep going back to this place knowing that they're going to have bad attitudes, the food won't be cooked to your liking or you won't get what you ordered this would not happen if it was a predominantly white neighborhood because guess what they would shut it down the community will shut it down and that's exactly what we need to do contact the health department when you find bugs in your food or drinks. Because other than that corporate is only following up with the reviews saying we're sorry that you had a bad experience at the store but never do anything about it if anything get rid of the whole team and get you a new team in there that is going to run that store properly because it is doing a disservice to the community. It is unacceptable I never understand why businesses get to stay open when they don't provide the proper customer service that is being expected from them. It only happens because it is in Jennings and this corporate does not care we can complain to the cows come home only thing they're going to do is reply with oh we are sorry and please reach us at this number when you do reach the number and complain still nothing is done so therefore they feel like we mean nothing to them to complain about there restaurant it's appalling I'm over it I hope they close down or get a new crew in there they know what the hell they are doing. Find you some people that know what customer service is because the ones you got working in there know nothing of the such. Is bad management and it shows the store is nasty and it shows they never let you order at the personal driver where you can look over the menu and push the button and they come out because they don't have enough staff to do that what is the point? I hope this store close if not get somebody in there I didn't know what they are doing because all I wanted was a freaking bag of ice a bag of ice that's it and that was too much because they don't have the staff to work the one young lady sound like she was overworked and Tapped Out she didn't care so my point is if the store was in the predominantly white neighborhood again like I said this would not be going on at all I will never patronize this restaurant again and I will tell my family members friends and coworkers everybody in the neighborhood I will let them know do not waste your time once we start pulling money out of this building it stopped on her they will have no choice but to get it together...
Read moreThe worst customer service experience ever. I hope the District manager reads these reviews because this location is poorly ran. Most of the time, they don't have people working the stalls which makes the drive-thru wait extremely long. Sonic is known for their good ice. The ice at this location is crushed and shouldn't be like that. When you get a cup of ice from Sonic, there should be finely shaped nuggets of ice with very little crushed ice. The nuggets of ice at this location are small, unevenly shaped crushed and a bit hard to chew on. They should have a Scotsman machine and the ice should look like what is in the attached photos. They need to service the ice machine on a regular basis. The location on Page has the worst Sonic ice ever. It is like you are chewing on shards of glass.
UPDATE:(11/01/21) It looks like someone came out to fix the ice machine. The cup of ice I ordered on Sunday was close to my expectations and I was happy. I stopped by the restaurant Monday and I noticed ice was spilling out of the machine on to the floor. I ordered a cup of ice and it all crushed up and worst than when they fixed the machine. Whatever they did to the machine to produce the good nugget ice was short lived. The machine needs to be readjusted or fixed again to create the nice ice I had on Sunday. The nuggets should be nicely formed and a bit dry. Not too much crushed ice or no clumps of ice fused together. The ice at the Wilson Avenue store on Chicago is the gold standard. Someone should ask the manager what they do to keep the ice consistent and yummy. I hope they fix the ice machine at the Overland location.
UPDATE:(11/19/21) They must have fixed the ice machine because the cup of ice I ordered today was perfect. Barely any crushed ice. Perfect dry nugget ice that is easy to chew. It has a hallowness to it when you bite into the nuggets.
UPDATE:(11/22/21) I stopped by this location again and the ice is bad again. I wish they would be consistent with the quality of the ice. Lots of crushed and wet ice. Not good. It is supposed to be bit dry and soft when you bit into it.
UPDATE (03/01/22) Please fix the ice machine. It needs to be cleaned up, descaled, new filter, etc. The machine should be making nugget ice, not crushed ice. The ice should be dry looking, soft when you bit into it with a crunch. That is "good ice" Sonic...
Read moreOn Wednesday July 22, 2020 I ordered through the Sonic app at 1:40 pm so I could get a slush 1/2 price off to avoid sitting on the sidelines waiting 20 minutes until 2 pm happy hour. I purposely pulled in drive through so my slush could be handed right to me but a very pleasant sounding young man told me to pull into a stall which I did and checked in by entering my stall number on the Sonic app as it instructs. I saw the staff bring out every other customers order but mine. I sat there 20 minutes pushing the red button on the menu a few times in between and "We'll be with you shortly" read across the digital order screen . I finally pulled out of the stall to get back in the drive through line and then a mans voice yells out of the speaker, "Can I help you!? Can I HELP YOU!?" as I'm pulling out of the stall which seems like they're playing games with me now. As I'm pulling back into the stall I say, "I ordered a Route 44 Cranberry Limeade slush 20 minutes ago that I already paid for with my debit card through the app." He replied, "Oh yeah, sorry." Then he finally brought my drink out and the time was now 2:04. He was pleasant in the beginning when he refused to give me my drink in drive thru and told me to pull into a stall and apologetic when he finally brought my drink out; that is why I gave 2 stars. If I had known they were going to make me wait until 2 pm anyway because they do not recognize happy hour anytime when ordering through the Sonic app as advertised I wouldn't have went at all.
